Excellent hotel with a few minor complaints

Cannot fault my stay here. Very nice check in friendly staff, nice bar area, excellent gym and pool/sauna. Just a very nice feel to the place. My only gripe would be having to pay for parking although only £3 if you booked direct through the hotel there was no charge. Seems unfair. And also very limited 0% alcohol selection in the bar. I will definitely be staying here again though.

Fine hotel but a couple of problems

Room was fine, if a little dated. However, far to hot. Had the window open and the fan on constantly - no air-con. I had to ask reception for another pillow as the ones in the room were so uncomfortable. They were old, flat and rock solid. The pillow given wasn't much better. Although we said we didn't need beds made or towels changed, I would still expect milk & coffee to be replenished. We had to request these at reception. Food was very good, with big portions. However, the drink was expensive.

They had a elevator, that was nice. You have to reserve you time to use the pool/spa area. The restaurant was good. Overall the services were normal but impersonal just like many larger hotels (I normally choose smaller places but went with this one for the use of the hot tub/ pool that I didnt end up getting to use) Good tea and coffee selection. Comfortable bed, bathtub had a few paint splatters

Really good weekend stay extra day. Checking in & checking out receptionist was very friendly. Food was great only thing was thing saying where to sit, then the following day saying table was booked, but nobody turned up but the other girl said it was ok to sit there, so all good.

They charge parking if you book on hotels!

I can’t complain too much about the room, it was ok. Nothing special just what would be expected for the price. I had to pay for parking, I hadn’t seen this mentioned on the app when I booked it and the receptionist said it was because I had booked via hotels. Nothing against paying but there are plenty of other hotels local that don’t charge. I was told to book a table for food via the qr code. I tried several times but it wouldn’t work. At one point it said no availability until 9.30pm so I went down to the restaurant and they gave me a table straight away (7.30).

Fantastic stay. The staff were friendly on arrival. The pool was good, as was the sauna and steam room. No issues with cleanliness and a good night sleep had by us all.

Not bad for a budget stay.

Staff were friendly. Hotel is on the old side but clean and comfortable enough. Walls are very thin and lots of noise was heard from other rooms and the corridor until late, then again early in the morning. Pool was lovely and warm but no privacy in changing area. Food in the restaurant was very tasty and service was ok considering how busy it was. Didn't realise we would have to pay for parking but it wasn't too pricey.

Great hotel for a business trip

Nice hotel. This is my first ch hotel when I stay in Aberdeen. Rooms are clean and comfortable with a good shower. Food in the bar is excellent so can be quite busy but they have enough staff to cope well. Excellent gym and pool to relax in after a hard day.

Toilet fills with waste from other rooms.

Ground floor superior room. Waste from other rooms kept coming back up the toilet. Reception knew about it but apparently ‘nothing can be done about it’!!! Moved to a top floor room. Won’t be returning until the drains are fixed.
