More of a Budget Lodge than a Hotel

I was at the hotel mainly for the purpose of keeping my luggage while I traveled to Edinburgh and returned for my return trip out of the UK the following day. It is more of a lodge than a hotel with few rooms. The room is highly functional with almost everything you need provided within the small space. It is not a quiet place as the ground floor is divided between the restaurant and a noisy bar.

Good wee hotel

Really pleased with the room, only 2 things were needing fixed. The toilet light flickered and bulb needs changed as showering in a strobe light is not great. Also I could not get the shower to get hot water on 2nd morning perhaps a clear procedure of how to operate the shower would help. Was not ideal at sub zero water temps this morning but I’m sure it would not take too much to make it easier to follow.

It was my worst stay ever. The guy at the reception/bar was really nice, but that didn't help that the place looks scruffy inside and out, but more so, I didn't sleep a single minute. The ventilation or something in the bathroom made continuous loud noise the whole time even though the light's and everything was off, tried pillow over my head, both if them, earphones, nothing worked 😣 I had quite a trip afterwards and was absolutely exhausted had to stop and sleep a bit the car. I left just after 5 am as I couldn't take it anymore.
