We have stayed in a few HRH and this one was great in some aspects and poor in others. Though there were several pools, none of them catered to our needs. We were a family of 3 adults and 1 teenager. My daughter was 16 and therefore we could not use the adult pool as we would have to leave daughter on her own. We used the other pools which were big, but not deep or suitable for swimming lengths. The pools were suitable for families with little kids, toddlers and for those who enjoyed pool games. Secondly, the movies available to watch in room was of minimal choice. They were not free but cost 7euros per film for 24hours. There were several connection issues with one particular film that we selected and we had to ring reception several times to sort it out. In the end we gave up and viewed other films from the limited selection. The freeview channels only consisted of BBC and ITV and although it was half term no movies were streamed on any of those channels which we found very strange. There was no Netflix, HBO or any such channels which offered movies. Overall I think the rooms were fantastic and breakfast was superb. Staff were mostly excellent except those at the pool area who could have been more gracious in their manner when telling us about the cordoned area being exclusive. We were not aware and as guests, we expected unselfish courtesy and not avarice. We dined in Mexican. Small portions here. Japanese restaurant was being restored but they still took bookings!

Brilliant stay at the hard rock hotel. 3 pools to choose from, manage to get a lounger no problem. Breakfast was brilliant and you could get a mimosa as you came in to breakfast which was a nice touch. We enjoyed the singers that were on in the evenings, particularly the Queen tribute band. This hotel is a bit further out but we got a taxi for about 22 euros into las americas one night. Check out staff were helpful and stored our luggage and let us keep the towel card until we were leaving. On check in they tried to charge us but we had already paid on Expedia, the manager sorted this and said it was an error on their systems, worth having your booking confirmation handy in case of any issues. We loved our stay!

The hotel and staff are great however I booked this hotel and was promised a room upgrade on arrival , I also chose to spend an extra £500 on the all inclusive upgrade for 3 nights thinking I’d get something special , we waited on average 20 minutes every time we ordered a drink and the all inclusive dining was a very basic set menu in two of the 6 restaurants, being the most basic two items on the menu . I felt like the poorest person in the room . When we arrived and I asked about the promised room upgrade I was told there was nothing available, but I went back later and was told if I paid extra I could upgrade . Overall this experience completely ruined my trip and turned it into a over priced disaster
