I had to be in town for some family stuff and wanted something nice out of the CBD hotel space (read $40 a night car parking and annoying in/out logistics). Walkers is new, modern small hotel and you can park on the doorstep for free. I wouldn't call it a 'romantic getaway' couples hotel BUT for convenience, business and your life-admin visits to Adelaide - this IS now my number one choice!
Staff are greatest asset - found them all without exception to be helpful, friendly and courteous. Some of carpets in accommodation area look old and soiled.
