Borgo San Pietro is in the charming Tuscan hilltop town of Agnone. We loved being in the historic district and were able to walk everywhere. The hostess, Valentina, was so helpful and always available--she even scheduled a tour in English for us at the Marinelli Bell Foundry. The views from our room were amazing! Be prepared to walk uphill on old Roman streets, some cobblestone. The local residents were all friendly and helpful, especially the Town Hall staff helping us with geneology questions.
This is the real Italy!!
The place was beautiful location and the views were breathtaking!! Very friendly and flexible check in time. We are so happy we chose this place for our stay in Agnone!
Our host Valentina was amazing. She communicated each step of the way and greeted us upon our arrival. The apartment was super clean and it was in the center of all to see in Agnone. Restaurants are a quick walk away. The view from the apartment is stunning! I really recommend this place to stay and will visit again in the future!
Perfectly located with a beautiful view and outdoor sitting. Italian breakfast at a cafe 100 meters (included) was perfect. Meet both host and hostess informative and gracious.
We had a lovely stay at Borgo San Pietro. We had to cut our trip short a day due to a busy travel day, but the night we stayed was great! The town is quiet and charming and the Pontificia Fonderia do Campane is a must see! Valentina is an excellent host and was so kind. We enjoyed breakfast at the cafe down the road, which was included in our stay. The views are second to none - heaven on earth from the mountain view room!
We booked an apartment for 2 nights. Valentina is lovely and the area has a beautiful vista. The apartment was quite austere, not very comfortable but spotlessly clean. The bed was quite uncomfortable and hard. It was not my choice to have a ground floor apartment and I was hoping for a room with a view. We were invited to stay with some friends on the 2nd night so left early. This is only my impression of the ground floor apartment and I would not choose to stay in that particular room again, however I would try a different room in the future. It’s good for an overnight stay but not a comfortable relaxing stay in my opinion.
I came to Agnone to meet my distant relatives and do research into my family. Borgo San Pietro in was the perfect place to be based out of. It has the best view in the entire city! Valentina was very responsive and gave us lots of recommendations of what to do in the region. Would definitely return!
Borgo San Pietro is located right on the edge of the old part of Agnone. It is situated right next to the Cheese di S. Pietro. and overlooks the entire valley of Agnone. Our B&B was very clean and cozy! Valentina seemed to care very much that our stay was as pleasant as possible. As I was here doing family research for my ancestral tree, Valentina was able to give great advice on who to go see in order to pursue my genealogy leads. I highly recommend Borgo San Pietro and will definitely be staying there the next time I go back to Agnone!
We had an amazing experience at this B&B. The proprietress was most attentive and kind. She saw to it that we made the most of our experience in this beautiful medieval village. The property was comfortable and clean. Please do not hesitate to visit this intriguing area. This is the “real” Italy. Every day yet extrodinary in every way. You can easily immerse youself in the charms of the everyday Italy. The townspeople were most friendly and we felt welcome wherever we found ourselves. We happily recommend the Marinelli Bell Foundry tour and, if you are extremely fortunate you will find yourself having dinner with the amazing Emma at Masseria San Lucia. Ask upon your arrival for a booking there for dinner. It was a most extrodinary meal in the typical Molise style. Our sincerest thanks to our hosts Valentina and Mario without you we would have been “lost”.
Driving into this region was like going into an Italian movie as the hillsides are covered with beauty and peaceful surroundings. Upon entering the town you could feel the warmth and energy of the people. Valentina greeted us at the BnB location and showed us our beautiful accommodations. The views from our room were stunning!! The room was picturesque as well. The bathroom was large and the linens were plentiful and soft. You went to sleep hearing the birds come to roost and awoke with them starting their day. Valentina wasa wonderful host and gave us great suggestions for our visit. We certainly will return again in the coming years!!!
Our apartment was beautiful. They updated and modernized while keeping the rustic charm. Valentina was very nice and helpful. We loved the town of Agnone and hope to go back. Highly recommend this B&B
We were delighted with our stay at Borgo San Pietro in Agnone. Our stay was wonderful and the owner was very kind and welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone who appreciates exploring the less traveled areas of Italy which are just as beautiful. We hope to return soon.
My wife and I had a long day of travel and some difficulty getting to Agnone and when we arrived we were met by Valentina who was extremely helpful and was able to show us to a very comfortable, warm and cozy apartment. Everything in the apartment was first rate and couldn't have been more comfortable and inviting.
We ended up in Agnone as we have some family history in this town and when we go back with our children we will certainly look forward to staying at the Borgo San Pietro again.
Great service and accomodations.
John
We very much enjoyed our time in Agnone. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location was spectacular on the edge of the historic district overlooking the valley below. The breakfasts were served at a nearby cafe, which gave us the opportunity to spend some time with the locals rather than sit in a hotel breakfast room with the other tourists!
The hotel was perfect for our family. It's beautifully renovated. The location was great for taking walks in the historic part of town. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment, which had plenty of space for our family of four. We would love to go back and stay there again. I highly recommend it.
Camera spaziosa, accogliente e molto silenziosa.
Non c’è possibilità di fare la colazione nella struttura, ci si deve recare in un bellissimo bar a circa 100/150 mt dalla stessa.
Niente di negativo da segnalare.
Struttura molto ben curata.
