I stayed here for 5 days during the summer. I loved that there is a beach walking distance from the place. Restaurant line the coast as you walk. The bed was so comfortable. Huge private bathroom with great lighting. You can listen to the ocean while you sleep. My only complaint would be that there is no mini fridge. Overall, I would recommend it if you are looking for a quiet place to stay.

The property is old, dirty, and run down. Bugs crawling all over the filthy stove and mold everywhere. Dirty bed sheets, towels and blankets. The guy that handles the booking was very remorseful and helpful. He did refund my money. However, donโ€™t waste the money on this dump.

I enjoyed this place, very serene and relaxing. My one complaint, we didnโ€™t realize this was located basically on top of a karaoke bar that goes well past midnight. The place is really nice and would come back!

What a View !!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

The ocean view was stunning literally steps away from the beach sunrises and sunsets were a highlight! It was very comfy and cozy and tons of places to eat and have cocktails nearby; Mike was absolutely amazing and accommodating he is the true definition of a Host and made our stay even more delightful we will definitely be returning to Mares Guesthouse !!!

We got bedbugs from here for three nights

We went for a quick trip to PR for a wedding and stayed at this hotel for only three nights and ended up with bed bugs bites all over. The first day, we thought it was just mosquitoes and then we realized after reaching home that it was not give that we had hundreds of bites on our bodies especially arms and legs. I reached out to the hotel and they denied having bedbugs. The hotel was in a nice local and we had room 6 with a beautiful ocean view but the hotel was dingy and dirty.
