warm welcome after a long day travelling was fantastic. everyone was so helpful, delightful meal in the courtyard great stay and will return

Riad Zara was a devine oasis. The staff were helpful, kind and friendly. The room was clean, with a magical quantity, making me feel like some sort of Moroccan prince. The old town can be a bit hetic, with the bustle of the souk at your doorstep. But upon entering Riad Zara it all disappeared, and i was wrapped in a blanket of colors and calm. I highly recommend Riad Zara for anyone who is looking for a touch of bohemian class in there visit to Marrakech.

Dépaysement total dans cette magnifique endroit. On ne s’attend vraiment pas à cela en s’y rendant, mais vous y trouverez un endroit merveilleux.

I was in Marrakech for 10 days, and loved staying here! At the end of my trip I got food poisoning, and wasn’t flying out till 9pm, and they let me stay in the room resting until I had to go to the airport, instead of having to check out at 11. For this alone, I am SO thankful, and will recommend everyone stay here!

Bit hard to find, and you need to be careful using Google Maps as there are 2x properties, but overall a great experience. No fridge which was a pity as we had bought a few drinks plus dine medication that needed to be kept cold, but otherwise it was perfect.

Booked 2 rooms for 3 nights for my parents & me. Staff were uncommunicative from the start. It was our first time to visit Marrakesh after having been to Casablanca, Rabat & Fes, in which we stayed at a riad too. The Fes riad, which was cheaper by $15 for 3 nights and 2 rooms was the total opposite of our stay at this riad. That Fes riad was gorgeous & the staff was so warm, welcoming, communicative & attentive. Here, we couldn't get them to respond when I emailed & called them asking for directions from the airport. Even Expedia called them twice on my behalf & both times they didn't respond. Not a good first impression of welcoming your guests. It was very confusing, overwhelming & exhausting locating this riad, especially as the taxi dropped us off at the very chaotic main street. We didn't feel safe despite it being daytime because the alley to reach this riad was dirty & rundown. We wanted to shorten our stay for 1 night but since we weren't going to get refunded, we decided to complete our stay. It felt like we were under watchful eye by the staff and any small request we asked was met with a fee (eg, we asked for eggs for breakfast & that was 2 euros, their Marrakesh city walking tour package was $45 when those walking tours could be had for $15 from other online tour group companies). Breakfast was a total letdown: bland bread, jam, coffee and tea. Doors couldn't be locked completely (old school key & padlock, but still can be opened if forced). Stay elsewhere.
