Pleasantly surprised with Ako
Hotel's right at the station. Nothing fancy but decent option. Breakfast a bit meh due to covid- rice/noodles bento, no pastries nor breads. Ako itself was surprisingly nice though, plenty of quality onsens and cafes, nice port.

これまで利用した東横インのベスト
アメニティなどは東横インの標準のクオリティです。ところが、この赤穂の東横インはこれまで宿泊した数多くの東横インの中でも最高のレベルだと感じました。まず、朝食のクオリティが非常に高いです。既製の食材を温めただけで提供するところも多いなか、この東横イン＠赤穂の料理は、きちんと「料理」されたメニュが提供されていました。もちろん高級ホテルではなくビジネスホテルなのでグルメ料理ではないですが、それに近いクオリティを感じました。 　また、駅と直接連結していること、おそらく赤穂の市街では最も高い目立つ建物であることも、特別な感じがしました。 　難を言えば、部屋ごとの防音構造がやや弱いと感じました。いずれにしても、また赤穂に行きたくなる良い思い出となるホテルでした。
