The lobby was beautiful and so was the grounds, but that’s where it ended. They have these little raccoon looking animals running around the grounds and in the buffet eating off the table as soon someone leaves, then the real raccoons come out at night scaring you have to death, They’re in the lobby running around a real nuisance! The rooms are terrible, they’re old and dated the bathtub was dingy, the towels were ruff. They got us this time, but never again! But the staff was awesome.

Our stay was ok. Not bad but not great.Very nice landscaping and upkeep The food was okay at the buffet they have plenty of options but not great. The service with some servers at the Yucatan buffet was very disappointing and we felt discriminated. If you look latino you might not get same treatment if you are american or European. We witnessed how servers treated American or European people and how they got better service and more attention at the Yucatan buffet. The SPA was great and Rosario did amazing with our massage. I don’t know if we stay there again

I stayed at this property in 2018 and again in November 2024. Here is my assessment: Grounds: - The grounds of the property are very nice and with a lot of things to do, considering there are 4 Bahia Principe resorts connected to each other. - Almost 1 mile of beach area where you can choose from snorkeling, to waves or no waves. - Transportation runs very across all areas - Pools are big and clean and many Rooms: - They renovated the rooms, but the bathroom is included in the room without walls or doors (this is as stupid as it gets). I visited with my daughter, but even if you go as a couple. Who wants to see their partner taking a dump? - My room was not cleaned properly, no towel change, etc. This could be just a bad maid on my floor Food: The food is OK, but it is much worse than it was in 2018. People serving in the buffet area are very friendly and good. We were attended by Francisco and Hipolito and both were great. Overall positives since last visit in 2088: - No towel cards and poor your own beer dispensers all over the resort (no need to wait for beer at the bar) Overall negatives since last visit in 2018: - Worst room design and food quality went down

I liked the property amenities, and it was a good all inclusive resort. I didn’t like that we were initially told the three individual rooms we reserved and paid for were not available and we were being amalgamated into 2 rooms. We were 5 adults. It was a couple hours of unneeded stress. Eventually they found a way to provide us with the rooms we needed. Unfortunately it leaves an initial bad impression.

Our first time vacation in Tulum, Mexico. Was really excited about it but it didn't meet the expectations. The hotel is in a remote location and there was to transportation out of hotel to the Tulum city or surrounding areas! You either have to have a rental car or taxi! I was so surprised that a 5 star hotel didn't have airport pickup in their all inclusive packages! Had to pay almost $200 extra to go to hotel and back in airport. Hotel facilities was ok. Junior suit should have slippers to use in the room but there wasn't any! Bathtub and sinks Water wouldn't clear fast. Villas are spread out too far. Had to walk 10 mins from the room to lobby and buffet areas every meal time! There were carts/ trains available with a wait. Food options was ok but full of pork!! It was just disgusting that they would put pork with chicken and beef without any label on which is what!! Breakfast had minimum varieties mostly eggs everywhere! Instead of giving that much alcoholic drinks for free, they could've given us fresh coconuts! Instead they were selling coconuts for $800 pesos each!! All inclusive option didn't include all the restaurants within the Grand Tulum hotel area which i didn't know, otherwise i could've booked in Luxury Akumal or Sian kan! Grand Tulum had better reviews online. Anyway..overall an average experience. Might look for othet hotel options next year.

It was the worst resort that I’ve ever stayed in the staff was unfriendly. It was advertised as all inclusive, but you were only allowed one dinner per person for every two nights staying at the resort the air-conditioning in the room didn’t work in either rooms. The property was poorly maintained in the staff had a terrible attitude. I would never recommend this resort and I would have never once knowing the things that I know now.

Overall, I had a pleasant experience. The resort was loaded with the natural beauty of God's creation, and overall, was clean and tidy. I also thought the dining options were outstanding, and the staff members were kind and very willing to help with any requests. The reason why I did not give 5 stars was due to an unpleasant odor in the room (2721) that I stayed in. I was told that this was an upgrade, but I do not understand how we were upgraded to a room with an unpleasant odor. That needs to be addressed and resolved. We mentioned the odor to the staff and they did respond by bringing a filter type machine. It helped, and I appreciate that. But I think the root of the issue should be addressed and resolved. In addition, Villa 27 was near what seemed to be the water treatment area and therefore, even outside of our room there were times when there was an unpleasant odor. However, I do not think the odor from inside the room was because of the smell from outside. Outstanding staff, great location, clean and tidy throughout the resort. Excellent food. Wish we did not have the issue with that unpleasant odor in the room. - Michael

The resort was awesome! Attentive staff, plenty of pool space with shade, and daytime and nighttime activities for all ages helped to keep my family busy for the entire week. The beach was swimmable for the kids thanks to the rock berms they’ve installed to break the waves along the shore. The resort feels slightly older in a few ways but, for the price, this is one of best family options in the area. Highly recommend if you’re looking for the most bang for your buck.

The best part of the vacation was the perfect weather. The beach was beautiful and the pools were nice. However, the hotel is very large. There is no room service or wait staff anywhere while at the pool or beach. The lines are always extremely long for drinks. The hotel deceives you. You DO NOT get two bedrooms. You get one with one bed and a pull out sofa bed. The bottom of bed was gross and not cleaned. The staff doesn’t help. They tell you to come back and check in two hours to get you away from the desk and then you go back and they tell you they can’t help. They ran out of towels for the pool. Making dinner reservations was very difficult. Some places are not even on the property so another false advertisement. I will never stay at a Bahia resort ever again.

I have bern to these resorts 4 times. Very disappointed in how unkept and rundown it was. Buffett had limited varieties as it had the same food all week. The main pool was fun but people throwing up in garbage cans and people bringing their own music on huge boombox so we cant hear any other music announcements was a bit much. We spent a lot if time at Coba as it was cleanerand more under control We wont be back

The hotel was beautiful. the grounds were amazing. The staff was great, especially Mateo. He was so helpful and friendly; he made our stay fantastic! I did not like the al la carte situation. There were no reservations available for any restaurant at all during our stay. We were forced to eat at the buffet for all of our meals every day. While the buffet had great options, it would have been nice to eat at a restaurant at least once.
