We stayed 2 nights at Hotel Natur. The hotel is very clean, room is nice, and breakfast is good. There are pool table, dart, sauna and hot tub to relax after a long day. The owner and the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The surrounding of the hotel is incredibly gorgeous. We wish that we stay longer! Will definitely stay there again if we are in Akureyri

The bed was a little to hard. Location, facility, sauna, hot tub, check in, etc., were great. It would have been nice to have another option for dinner other than a whole buffet for those who want something light.

Wonderful Location and Stay

The only thing that could have made it better would have been for the fog to lift and the blue sky to appear so we could enjoy the view on the other side of the fjord even better. Loved our stay here in every way.

One of the top hotels in Iceland. The property is newly built and located in a peaceful, quiet area, perfect for relaxation. The complimentary breakfast is excellent, with a wide selection of fresh options. The owners are exceptionally welcoming and go out of their way to ensure a wonderful stay.

Hotel under construction

Hotel will probably be great once construction has finished. It was loud when we arrived and contruction still going on at 6pm and construction (hammering) started early. Place was noisy until 9pm. We had a room close to reception and it was loud. Might be better to ensure room is far away from reception or dining area. Great walks outside and a tower to climb. Saw whales breahing from dining room

It is a beautiful property with amazing views and a friendly staff to help you out. We didn't see the northern lights when we stayed but if it did come the pictures would have been amazing considering the grounds.

The location of this property was gorgeous. The hotel and grounds were impeccable and inviting. We loved climbing the "tower"( I believe it is a renovated silo) for a bird's eye view of the land and the fjord, and enjoyed being able to walk the expansive property right down to the water. We hope we have a chance to visit again someday!

We went there in a cloud free evening. Just after 01 hour of sunset northern light started. It’s an awesome location to observe the northern lights. The area around the property is also awesome.

So this hotel was about 15 minute drive NE of Akureyri. If you want to be in the city within walking distance of things, not the place for you. If you want to walk out and see the fjord and mountains in the distance, it's perfect. My twin room is nothing special. Basic, but was clean. Shower had good water pressure. Bed was a little on the firm side, but I slept fine. The amenities were great. Restaurant was really good for both breakfast and dinner. Hote has a free coffee/hot chocolate machine that was basically accessible all day. Pretty much similar to the ones in the gas stations that they charge you 5 bucks for. I'm almost certain I drank my nightly rates worth in that alone. It also has a lower level with a pool table and dart board, etc. If you're with a large group of people and want a space to chill in, it's the perfect set up. Would definitely go back.
