Excellent Self Serve Hotel with Laundry!
This place has an ideal location with access to the main areas of the city. I wish I spent more time here as it was very convenient and a great place to visit. The apartment entry was very easy with the email provided, and I appreciated the ease of use. This is probably the best spot for laundry that we encountered in our entire trip to iceland, as there was no charge, and to my surprise even tide pods left out for use. Incredibly useful stop for a long road trip. You are near the city center, so you will hear people outside depending on room. I didn't mind it much. Highly recommend.

Does everything well.
K16 really grew on me. Large room, very clean and they gave us a corner room with an excellent view down the hill. Initial impression was that it was a little 'sterile' - no art work on the wall, etc. But, the location was great - a short walk form downtown and we appreciated having room to spread out. Parking was super easy as well. The big feature was that there was free clothes washing and drying available. This was the midway of our trip, so I was able to do all of our laundry. Very professionally run. If I am ever fortunate to visit again, I'll definitely stay here again.

Great stay there. The apartment was roomy and fully equipped. Really enjoyed having a sitting room separate from the bedroom. Location was great - easy access to town and good food. It was the half point of our trip and the in-room laundry machines were much appreciated

Apartment was lovely. Host was responsive and friendly. Great location. Walking distance to most local restaurants and a quick drive up the mountain for skiing. *We booked for two people and then then added a third and didn't realize there would be an additional fee. This seems to be standard practice across Iceland. Just something we had to adjust for.

A great place to stay after a day on the road.
This lovely property is located up on the hill, a short walk from central Akureyri, and provided a very comfortable stay. All the facilities you'd expect in an apartment, nice and clean and no hassles at all. Would happily stay there again.

We were very pleased with this aparthotel, it is central, it has parking around the property, the apartments are very roomy and nicely furnished, the kitchen is fully functional with good size fridge and freezer, stovetop, coffee maker and even a real oven. Plus all what is need for cooking. Ample space to put luggage, hang clothes and countertop room. Laundry room with provided detergent pods included. A very short walk from the city center and right next to the art museum. Great experience!

I fell ill during our stay & the owners of K16 were exceptionally helpful. I was having a hard time figuring out where to go and how to get help. Margaret navigated me through that process & drove me to a health clinic. I’m very grateful for her kindness. That aside, the apartments are clean, well appointed, comfortable, centrally located with ample free parking and in a very safe area. There is free laundry service & the owners are very responsive to guests. I highly recommend K16 Apartments!

K16 was the best lodging I stayed at during my time in Iceland. The room was big, it had a kitchenette, TV that had Netflix, couch, nice bathroom, laundry unit (outside the room) and it was in the center of Akureyri. Restaurants and bars were a stones throw away. If I come back here I will definitely be staying at K16 again. They send you a code the day of, and it’s super easy; no hassle of checking in, etc. You just walk in and when it’s time, you walk out. Loved it.
