Nt so gud nt so bad
Good for d money v paid...no hot water...staf little annoying...rooms were good...location is good...hotel campus is good....well its a gudd value for money ....
This was a very average stay with a disappointing standard of room. It is tired and dated, and is surely due for a renovation. The staff we OK, the food was average, definitely nothing special to talk about.
Pagoda is a decent place to spend a night in Alleppy. We checked in late and had a lot of problems convincing an educated (100% literary rate in Kerala) staff manning the reception that we had booking for two rooms. He made it seem like a big favor that he finally relented and gave us the two rooms. Then we had to undertake another round of convincing for the extra bed for the kids in both the rooms. This at 2am in the morning was not the best check in.
Buffet breakfast was good for once but for 5 days having to choose between the same three things was not much like a holiday breakfast at the price we paid. The staff was overall courteous but as son as it came to solving a problem - they stopped to understand English unless one went to the front desk and pushed for action. The swimming pool was the saving grace in terms of what the kids could do - but it wasn't very clean. Yet the hotel was highly popular with overnight guests of which there were numerous over the 5 days we stayed. Our experience was not BAD but it was surely not good value for money in ways more than one.
The hotel is nice, free wifi in reception, bit far from actual munnar town, good 45 mins to an hour to munnar town in car.
Breakfast OK, room clean and nice, water was hot once boiler activated.
Experience was very nice, all staff members are friendly and very well taken care of guests.
Food was good. Overall ambience and surroundings are excellent. Worth to recommend.

Rooms were quite comfortable and clean except for the toilet which had some plumbing issues. Hotel stay would've been just fine had it not been for the lack of sleep I recieved due to some kind of DJ event which played loud music till at least 12am. Then once that ended everyone from that event were extremely loud and obnoxious slamming doors and yelling all into the early morning. I was very surprised that there was no security on duty to prevent that kind of disturbance to all other guests who were staying there.

Scolded by reception
Unfriendly reception. Expect nothing from them. I booked online and was scolded on the second day for not paying the hotel directly. The man at reception threatened that *maybe* my reservation would be lost and if so, I would have to check out by noon. Asked whether I was coming back by then in case the reservation didn't go thru. *maybe* my things would no longer be in my room when I returned. Just pathetic treatment. If you don't like helping foreign visitors even after they show you the email from Hotels.com guaranteeing a paid reservation, you're in the wrong line of work.
Quite the opposite, the service in the restaurant is very very friendly and the food is decent there.
Pagoda resort could be a lot nicer to stay in than it is. The outside look is good. If booking try to get one of the cottages other wise don't bother. We didn't really want to be inside our room. small dingy rooms with constant sound of air conditioning units. not clean. restaurant is depressing as they keep curtains closed. not sure why. but the breakfast was fine. the pool is nice, again not so clean. On site beer parlour is useful for a drink and it was very friendly. porters and security staff very friendly. The location is very good for visiting the backwaters. rickshaw to beach 50 rupees and there are a lot of rickshaws. I am aware we visited out of season, so i hope they provide better service and atmosphere if the hotel is fuller.

Close to town
A short walk to the center of town, bus station, beach, short ride to the railway station. Good place to stay to see the area.
My friend and I stayed two nights at Pagoda and was satisfied with everything Pagoda offered at the hotel. The room was very small and the TV hardly worked but we were not in the room for the most part anyway. Pagoda is centrally located near the market street and a cheap rickshaw drive from the beach. I was very with the food/bar and laundry service and also had a nice pool and overall property was great!
Stedet er blevet sat i stand siden vi var der for 2 år siden.Det virker flere klasser bedre nu.DEjlig restaurant.Lækker stor cottage.meget lidt lokaltraffik.lige ned til en smuk kanal.
Przyzwoity hotel, położony do 1km od przystani i dworca autobusowego.
Poolen obrukbar.Kunde inte komma därifrån fort nog!
