The pool was nice and the room was clean but the hotel is undergoing renovations which started very early in the morning which made it impossible to sleep past 8 am. I wish they had told the renovation team to start after checkout.

Stay in a Construction Site!!!
If you ever wanted to have the immersive experience of staying in an active construction site, stay here. The building filthy and torn up from being under renovation. The constant banging reminded me of the story my father told me about going through POW training in the Navy, where they stuffed him in a box and banged on it as a type of torture. I am astonished that Comfort Inn would even allow guests to stay here.

The hotel is under renovation, but our room on the 3rd floor was brand spanking new! Very comfortable. The breakfast was actually good and the attendant was a wonderful lady. When going to check in, at 2:45pm we were told that our room was not ready and that we had to come back at 3:00. 15 minutes later, the front desk person said our room wasn't ready, but she could give us another room. Seems a little nutty that she made us wait for 15 minutes.

The first person would not let us check in at 2:45 since checkin was at 3:00. We had to sit and wait for the 15 minutes in order for us to get a room. The second person who checked us in was very nice though. The hotel was under construction so the first floor was a mess. Our room was nice but very very small as it did not even have a bureau put clothes in. Thank goodness this was only a 1 night stay otherwise I would have moved to another hotel.

They are undergoing construction, but the breakfast and lobby areas are fine. I like the pool, but do not understand why a pool without a lifeguard is only open during certain hours. The sign says it’s open from 7 am to 11 pm. The staff says it’s 8am to 10 pm. Key cards don’t open the door, so people can only go in if staff lets them in. I like to swim laps early , so that was annoying to me.

We should have been informed that the property was having renovations done when we booked. We arrived before 3pm and the young lady on duty would not take care of check in until 3. I understand our rooms may not have been ready, but I don't see why she couldn't take care of the check in process. I have never stayed in a hotel where they wouldn't check you in before the room was ready. There wasn't even anyone at registration when we arrived, we waited 10 minutes for some one to greet us. I did not like the fact that there was no housekeeping after you check in unless you asked and we were not informed of that at check-in. I have never experienced that before. There were only 2 luggage carts and someone checked in and put them in their room so we didn't have any. I do want to say that the young lady that was at registration at check out was great. She went looking for carts for us and when she couldn't find them offered to carry our luggage down for us. I did not get her name unfortunately. Linda, the lady who was on duty for breakfast on Saturday morning was great. Introduced herself and told us if we needed anything to let her know.

Despite the renovations that were going on, the room looked brand new and was excellent. The bathroom and shower were also new. The free breakfast was great with many choices. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall, a great experience and I would stay there again.
