Views from our balcony were beautiful. Restaurant was difficult to get service. Both times we waited 20-30 minutes even with off hours and light crowds in the restaurant and bar. Staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.

Great hotel. Rooms are clean and quiet. Staff is exceptional. Free valet parking. Located close to Old Town and near highway. Definitely would recommend as a place to stay.

The hotel was located in a great area - close to the interstate, restaurants, breweries, and old town shopping and sights. The reason for a lower rating on the staff was that we reserved our room months in advance. We paid extra for a Suite because we needed the extra space. The evening before checking in we rec'd a call from the front desk manager saying that they did not have our room. He offered to put us in a smaller standard size room with only a $20 discount. This was unacceptable because we had a reservation for the suite. We were traveling with another family and needed the bigger room to hang out in the evenings together. Onced pressed by the reservation manager, he "found" a room for us. He put us on the 2nd floor, not a big deal, but with a window that looked out on an area where they threw their trash, such as broken chairs and equipment. I don't know why they didn't just black out that window because it was a terrible first impression when walking into the room. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt that it was not done on purpose, but a customer who choses your hotel months in advance should get a better room than those who just booked it. There were at least 3 weddings going on and I'm sure we got bumped for their accommodations.

Make no mistake, this did not feel like a four star property. It has been lightly renovated, but it is a very old hotel, and it feels like it. Bathroom door, seems like it was made of cardboard, would not close or lock. The swimming pool was out of use the entire time we were there. Well the hotel promises access to a pool area and fitness center, doors were repeatedly locked, and the facilities were not available. At one point, I was using the hot tub, and when I went to leave, I was completely locked in the area, and had to contact front desk to come and open a door, and then I had to walk about six minutes around the entire large hotel to get to the front entrance and then through the lobby down the hallway and up the elevator. It just felt like nobody was paying attention. I did complain about the lack of pool usage and the manager did refund us one night, which was nice.
