The building itself is not bad but a bit dated. The area around the hotel is a bit rough, lots of transients and apprent drug users. However this is mitigated by armed security and a quick response time by the Albuquerque Police department. They also have a surveillance station set up. The best part of the stay was the Staff from the breakfast staff to the Front desk they did an amazing job.

Property was dirty, carpet was stained, bathroom was nasty and the room smelled strong of cigarette smoke at night. Pictures online is not what you get in person. Only stayed due to having booked through a 3rd party and couldn’t get refunded we literally only slept there and left early morning. Prices were extremely high due to ballon festival going on.

The girl that checked me in did not tell me there was a trick to opening the door to the room. I had to go back downstairs and there was a different person at the desk helping another guest check in. He told the guest that they may have to pull up on the handle. So when I went next he said that's probably what it was if the light turns green after swiping the rook key. Sounds like this is a pretty standard inconvenience that the first girl could have let me know about. Pretty dry, unwelcoming personality on top of that.

This was the worst place I have ever stayed in. The first room was extremely terrible. The bathroom was disgusting, my feet were sticking to the shower floor and the shower head was barely functional. The room smelled like death, literally like someone passed in there and was being covered with the smell of ammonia. We did get moved to another room which was missing the top layer of bedding and was still pretty dirty overall. There were multiple stains on the carpet and piss on the toilet seat. We only stayed because we were too tired to drive safely to anywhere else. Extremely disappointed and was price gouged.

Dirty, nothing worked, sink plugged, hide-a-bed a safety hazard. I felt for the staff who tried hard but clearly have an owner who doesn’t care. Not to mention the meth operation in the street, you couldn’t walk anywhere. Avoid.

We stayed there on a Friday night. We were rudley woken at 5:45 in the morning to an arguement that escalated quickly into a physical confrontation between several people a few rooms from us. We tried numerous times to contact the front desk to report it but no answer. I don't know if the police came and descalated the situation. Someone had the individual restrained for awhile. It lasted for over an hour. We ended up packing and leaving. There was dried smeared blood on walls and blood splatter down the hallway and on the carpet. Nothing had been cleaned up. Honestly i would love a partial or full refund for my stay.

Great hotel and great location, a bit seedy/shady with the Motel 6 right next door and all the people hanging around. Front desk staff is awesome and the facility is good. Good breakfast, but carpet in the rooms needs to be replaced. Glad the front desk waived the cleaning fees for our pets.

On checking in the team member said that Hotels.com had put the room charge through on the wrong account and he had to change things around that resulted with a new charge and refund applied. I made sure that I had a copy of the receipt in case of a dispute. I wasn't sure about the area. There were a lot of people without homes nearby behind the stores and fuel stops. For a LA Quinta this property was in need of updating. The beds were sunken and the carpet was really stained. The room was large though and the bathroom was ok but again needs updating. The one lift (elevator) was really slow so when I got locked out by reception assuming I had checked out already I had to back down from the 5th floor to get the key re-programmed it was an inconvenience. Location wise it was nearby the I40 and I25 but it is easy to get lost in a new area. Breakfast was not the 'waking on the bright side' that LA Quinta advertise and was very basic especially the hot food which was just watery scrambled egg. It was good value for money and I did get a good nights sleep but I wouldn't stay again.

Floors in hallway and room were gross. No vending machines, in fact vending room was full of trash. Saw a hooker and a gang just outside of property. The property seems run down. The hotel smells dirty, the floors were dirty. There was black mold under soap holder in shower. Will drive right on thru Albuquerque next time. Reception people sitting on their phones. There were dirty womens underwear at front entrance.
