Paid for a double bed room which cost extra. Got a single king bed. Asked the front desk and they first said they had a note saying I requested a single bed instead of the 2 beds I chose and paid for which isn’t true (why would I pay extra just to ask for the single bed). Then he said chose “first come first serve” on rooms when I checked in that is why I got a king? Whatever that means. Paid $615 for 2 nights. Tried to check in at 3:30 and rooms weren’t ready till 4. Which is a ridiculous policy for a hotel but whatever.
After I told the front desk I didn’t know anything about a “first come first serve” he offered me a rollaway bed which I said I’d rather have my 2 beds since my 64 year old mom and 4 month old son were with me. Then he said “unfortunately we are sold out for the night” so basically they sold my room to someone else. No apology or even care for what was going on. He said he couldn’t refund me or reimburse me anything because I went through hotels.com and would have to speak to them. So I did. They contacted the hotel on my behalf and told them to call back later when the supervisor was back.
So they did. And I got offered restaurant vouchers… again no apology or acknowledgement of them screwing up my reservation. Didn’t take the vouchers. Ridiculous treatment and lack of care for our stay.
Drove 9 hours and then can’t even relax in a bed. My mother slept on a couch. Not to mention the AC was awful and didn’t keep the room cool.
Will def not be back.
