I loved that the breakfast was free every morning, but we booked it for the fitness center and pool. Both of which, were unavailable. Their fitness center was closed and the machines not plugged in with drywall pieces everywhere, and the pool had a closed sign that says its not up to code with The City of Albuquerque.

It’s everything the other bad reviews mention about old & smelly etc. However there was plenty of hot water & great shower pressure; the A/C worked great & the front desk & breakfast staff cheerful & accommodating. So I gave it a poor on structure but excellent on staff. There are many other hotels in the area (Midtown), stores & restaurants, so it’s in a good location.

Originally booked the room for my birthday. On arrival the pool wasn’t working with zero explanation as to why. my room is supposed to be a “luxury” room facing the mountains. i’m facing buildings and the room is disgusting and nothing that they offered.

Norman Bates Horror Hotel

This was the worst Hotel stay, in my 57 yrs of existence. It was old, run down, the repairs made were half ass at best, the individual room doors didn’t appear very secure. There were stains of some sort on the bedskirt, there were either stains, or a partially used towel not realized and kept in the room. The bed was so unbelievably soft like a marshmallow. No structure to the bed, you sort of sank in it. I was worried about the cleanliness of the bed since the room was so dilapidated I brought my own blanket to sleep in. There was at least 2” think of ice build up in the mini fridge. The slider was sort of secure and not. I had to walk back and forth from the front desk to rm 458 - 2 xs due to the keys not working the door being broken. Then I asked for a closer room if possible, and got 428 to which it took me about 10 min of fiddling with the door/key to finally get the door open. After being on the road for 12 hrs that’s the last thing I want to do is fuss with the damn doors. Then to have to traipse back and forth multiple times carrying all my stuff to be told on your phone deactivated the key card ( in 2 different hands mind you). Also, I had booked the room via Hotels.com like 1-1.5 hrs prior to my arrival (and was shown at booking there were 3 King bed/Deluxe rooms plus mine left) only to be told when I arrived no, we don’t have any king beds & definitely not deluxe either. I grabbed the tray under ice bucket & hair fell on me, and I felt hair on the floor

Comfortable Stay with no issues

I had a great time for staying the first time at this location. The bed was very comfortable and there was very little noise to where I relaxed and slept well. The only down side was the toilet bowl continuously ran water after each flush. I had to literally open the top and push down the flap. All in all, great stay. I will choose this location again!
