I have traveled a lot lately and have been staying at Hilton Garden Inn’s but remembered a Sonesta ES Suites I stayed at in Chicago in 2024 and enjoyed so I decided to go with Sonesta bc it was closer to where my son moved to. I was a little disappointed when I saw the location and the overall property and there were visible signs of wear and tear. I shrugged it off the first night bc I was exhausted. I was unable to sleep well as the HVAC system would bang loudly before it come on, two bright blinking lights over the bed all night long, walls were thin and people were loud late at night, and there was a constant beeping off and on in the parking lot. Terrible experience and not relaxing at all. I ended up checking out early and booking a Hilton for my last night.

Hotel sonesta The only positive thing at this hotel is that one of the staff members, Elias, was super friendly and helpful. Another staff member was reluctant to give me extra towels unless I returned the ones we had used. There were several horrible things about the room! We were overrun with cockroaches-in the dishwasher, all around the fridge and even on the table (I have video of this)! Pigeons were an issue because we constantly heard them through the fireplace. When we pulled out the sofa bed there was a lot of trash and dirt on the mattress. The hotel is located along a ditch and we saw several people jumping the fence to go to a large encampment in the ditch. The kicker was a large fight that broke out at about 3:30 am! I recommend that people do not stay here!
