Lovely welcoming lady on reception at the bar, and spotless room. But chipped paint, stained grout in the bathroom, solid pillows, cheap duvet, marked carpet, no hairdryer, old blind at the window, noisy/ broken extractor fan, thin walls and heard someone on the toilet one side andvomiting on the other!! On a housing estate & bar was noisy and roudy, full of workmen. Didn’t feel unsafe & room was quiet, so did what I needed but sadly would not return. The smell everyone comments on was strong- think it is just cheap cleaning products- need to get something that smells better.

When I booked it was not obvious that check-in closes at 10 pm - but they rang me at 9 pm when I was on the motorway and I told him I'd be there about 10:40 pm... and the person on the desk stay behind and let me in... you can't ask for more than that

Close to being a good inn. Can’t really recommend.

Good inn. Great pub and beer garden, but room had some cleanliness issues, uncomfortable beds that felt close to collapsing and a damp smell. It was for one night, cheap and location was perfect, so can’t complain too much.

A budget hotel but clean and comfortable and it was ideal for our overnight stay. The twin bedroom was a reasonable size and the bathroom was large with a walk in shower. There was a good choice of reasonably priced well cooked food for evening meal and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Slight issue was the rather tired flooring in the bedroom and bathroom and minor maintenance problems. However we thought it was value for money and would stay again en route to our holiday destinations.

Keep doing what you doing!

Free parking on site . Food excellent value and quality. Rooms refurbished since we used the place last year so all looking fresh and lovely. It's a no frill hotel but the staff and service are 5 star. Always use this place when we go to Midlands!

Great little find

Very good value for money. Initially a bit apprehensive as I was staying alone with teenage son and our room was right at the entrance to the bar on the ground floor. It felt very safe though - staff and locals using the bar were all very friendly and there were no problems with noise at all. Clean and comfortable room too. The bar area has a nice atmosphere too. It was quiet enough during the day to sit in a corner and work off my laptop (great coffee served!) and then busier at night where we enjoyed a drink and game of pool.

Amazing historical village

Extremely friendly staff. Hayley was 6 Always smiling. Very comfortably and clean. Food was first class and the locals were very welcoming. Excellent central position for Oxford , Stratford and all surrounding historical towns. Excellent value for .money. will be booking again to continue our tour of the Cotswold.

Ground floor room. Disturbed by adults and young people presumably leaving the bar late in the evening. No air conditioning meant very hot room unless window to car park left open. Bar tables sticky, needing a proper clean.

A very clean room and excellent comfy bed. Excellent shower with complimentary toiletries. Always love being able to make morning tea with facilities in the room. Thank you. Friendly, helpful staff and well cooked breakfast. It was unusually hot weather, so a fan or air conditioning could have helped overnight.
