I didn’t have high expectations, but it was rough. Dirty, paint peeling from the walls, bad job patching holes in the walls, tub was “ick”. The man at the front desk in the morning was friendly and pleasant, however.

I stay here every time I come to Washington DC to do research. It is very close to the Huntington Station of the Metro. The room is nice for the price but no frills. I've stayed in the same room twice. TV had a lot of snow, which they tried to repair and made it better, but not great. Channel selection is minimal. There is a breakfast, but minimal. Hot is waffles only.

The beds are excellent, close to the metro, and the staff are kind and caring. I stayed here as a kid in the 70's when it was a Holiday Inn. When I go to DC, it feels like a reunion.

We had to fill the toilet tank up from the sink because it would not fill up itself… the whole place also smelled of cigarette smoke, and the room itself was musty. A few of the lamps did not even work. Wouldn’t recommend
