My family and I stayed at RIU Palace Paradise Island for 6 days while celebrating my mother's 60th birthday, and overall we had a wonderful experience. Check-in was quick and seamless. One thing to note is that if you book through a third-party website rather than directly with the hotel, airport shuttle service is not included. Before arriving, I had read several reviews criticizing the condition of the rooms, so I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. There were signs of normal wear and tear that could use some attention, but nothing that negatively impacted our stay. One minor inconvenience was the air conditioning. We could only turn it on or off rather than adjust the temperature, which made the room either too warm or too cold at night. On our first night, there were no comforters or blankets in the room, but after housekeeping serviced the room, we were provided with blankets for the remainder of our stay and had no further issues. Another small drawback was that the bathroom does not have an exhaust fan, so it became very steamy after showering. The food was generally good, although many dishes tended to be oversalted. During our stay, we dined at Bahamas Steak House, Tengoku, and Krystal. Krystal was by far our favorite restaurant. While the host was somewhat curt when we arrived for our reservation, the experience quickly improved. Our servers were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Renovation underway but great otherwise

You exceeded by standards ten fold! This place was the vacation we ever had and the staff was amazing! We will most definitely be back!!

The staff was very knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating. I was very pleased with my room. The overall atmosphere was excellent.

Wow I wish I had more days to enjoy this property. It is very big, so many things to do. They did an upgrade to our room so we got pool and ocean view which was great. The hotel has a casino inside, stores, restaurants, the beach is beautiful (a little bit far, but because of the size of the hotel), quiet, relaxing, white sand, clear blue water, OMG, definitely coming back.

Beautiful resort with well maintained beach. Easy access to get around.
