Not great, worse for dog owners

Staff notified me my room was being changed to a “pet-reserved” b/c of my dog. I am used to this. Normally it means a room without carpets and a slight bleach smell. Instead this room has torn up carpeting and furniture, is humid, and smells like an old dog bed marinating in the sun. The bathtub is dirty. I’ve been coming here the last couple years. Staff are always friendly and the coffee is hot in the morning. But tonight I’m sleeping with my face in a towel to mask the smell. (FWIW, Linens crisp and clean.)

The room smelled like some had smoked pot. We went back to the front desk. Switched rooms. Second room had a slight mildew smell. Workers were staring at us as we got our breakfast.

THe property is in need of a revision. It was clean but the walls were patched, holes here and there in the walls. Just not kept up well. Clean though disappointing.
