The rooms are cold and there is no temperature control. The building is old and pretty cool but it is also very loud due to the traffic outside. The bathroom had a vent but no way to turn it on. The beds were horrible, rubber and we sunk to the middle...It was one night and walkable to where we needed to go.

Place was clean conveniently located near the PPL center as we were going there to see creed. Only negative is we waited 45 minutes for breakfast the day we checked out. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

Property was amazing. Beautiful location. We booked a suite. Unfortunately there were crumbs on the floor and in the sink when we arrived. Staff at the bar were fantastic, however they were extremely understaffed. At breakfast (it was not even busy, two tables seated when we arrived and one group arrived after us…) there was only one person working. They were responsible for seating, taking orders, bussing, bar.. we ended up leaving. The person working was great and working hard, but it did not seem likely that our order would be taken any time soon. Unfortunate, because the hotel has great character and history, it should be properly staffed.

The lobby area and common areas in the hotel are lovely. The mezzanine looking over the lobby is pretty. Our hotel room was useable and the bed was comfy, but I did not appreciate having an old jacuzzi-tub/shower. It was a bit dangerous stepping over the high tub sides. the fan roared when the light was turned on. Our "city view" from our room was an abandoned building with a window torn out and air conditioning units. The carpeting was not good. There was not enough bedside table space. So in summary, it would be a good hotel for a wedding, reunion, event etc, but I would not want my guests to stay there.

What a gorgeous property, the art deco feel carries its grander throughout the entire hotel property. The rooms are spacious and clean- The location is literally in the middle of everything walking distance to every place you need to be in Allentown!
