Excellent location and superb breakfast. Rooms looking a little tired with some mouldy grout in the shower. Towels need renewing as the ones supplid are looking grey and well used

Excellent service from start to finish, from check-in with Deirdre (I believe that was her name, lovely Irish girl), to a very nice and comfortable room, a great dinner in the pub, and a smooth check-out. We will be back

Good value clean & spacious room

Reception not always manned but mobile number available if you needed something. No lift & no shaver point in bathroom. Spacious room , large bed. Clean & comfortable room. Bathroom with walk in shower. Food available in pub next door. Very good breakfast.

Perfect stay with lots of little thoughtful extras

From the moment we arrived staff were lovely. The room was perfect with lots of nice, thoughtful touches. Tea and coffee was in plentiful supply and more was available at reception alongside fresh milk from the fridge in little glass bottles and fruit. The room was clean with plenty toiletries. The breakfast was amazing. All freshly cooked with prime ingredients. Nothing not to like about this place.

I loved the ease of entering the hotel parking lot, as well as the quietness and cleanliness of the room. The breakfast experience was miserable; one of the service personnel was very bad; after I sat down to have breakfast and ordered my order with my partner, he came to us with a different order after being absent for about half an hour! I told him we didn't order this, and he responded that he was sure we ordered what he brought; he did not offer any apology for his mistake and insisted, and my partner confirmed that we did not order what he brought, at the end we left even though I paid for breakfast in advance, this waiter is not up to the level of the hotel, and he is very offensive to hear. I will never book in this hotel; the worst food service I have ever experienced in my life.

I'm splitting this review into two, the hotel and the pub because the hotel is a separate building. THE HOTEL I loved the unique little touches at this hotel. The reception has complimentary fruit and refrigerated milk (I don't like UHT). You can also fill up on tea & coffee at reception (none of this only one tea bag per person per night malarkey). Room was really nicely decorated, love the bright pops of colour in the armchairs and mirrors too. Staff were great, friendly and chatty. Mattress was comfy, its a shame that you could actually feel the zip on the mattress AND the duvet through the material (I understand that they have to be able to use a room as a twin too, but invest in a decent mattress cover and separate duvets). The pillows were very plump. THE PUB We ate here on the Friday night, the hollandaise on my starter was split and there was so much water from the poached egg that everything was slippery and tasted of salt water. Main was so unremarkable that two days later I can't even remember what I had. Saturday morning, possibly one of the BEST hotel breakfast I've had. Light and creamy scrambled eggs (I consciously didnt choose the eggs benedict because of the night before), crispy bacon, toasted toast, delicious mushrooms. And a lovely latte to boot. Sunday, possibly the worst. Insisted we pay for latte, hard scrambled egg (more like an overcooked omellete with hard black pepper chunks), flimsy fatty bacon, soggy cold toast, flavourless tomato.
