The location is excellent, with a bus stop right in front of the hotel, which was incredibly convenient. They also have a garage available for parking cars, scooters, or Vespas. The staff were amazing—so welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. We also loved the beautiful views, especially the charming lemon trees they grow on the property. 😍🍋 The hotel also has a restaurant, which we visited once during our stay. You don’t have to be a hotel guest to dine there—you can simply reserve a table. The view alone makes it worth visiting! 🍋✨

We stayed for two nights and we liked several things. We arrived around 10 AM, before the 2 PM check-in, and the owner kindly kept our luggage and called when the room was ready around noon. The room was comfortable, everything worked, housekeeping was good, and staff arranged a porter to the bus stop at checkout. The other staff were also polite and helpful. Unfortunately, our experience was affected by interactions with the owner. When we left our luggage, my wife asked whether it was safe in the hallway. The response that “nobody is interested in your luggage” felt unnecessarily abrupt. A simple reassurance would have been more appropriate. The more serious issue was at breakfast. We are vegetarian and asked about alternatives given the limited selection. The owner brought some tomatoes, which we appreciated. However, when my wife pointed out that some fruit appeared old and asked about other options, the conversation became confrontational. We were told that if we needed so many things, we should stay at a five-star hotel. The following day, my wife was again described as “complicated” and told to stay at a five-star hotel. The conversation escalated, with raised voices in front of other guests. We felt it could have been handled more calmly and professionally. The hotel has many positives, but the owner’s handling of the situation overshadowed an otherwise pleasant stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very convenient location with its own private beach. The beach view from our terrace was serene.The breakfast was perfect. The best part of our stay was the helpful, polite and cordial staff.

Maria, our host, is a part of a large family that has owned this property and a restaurant across the street for generations. She was knowledgeable and very helpful. It added an element of personal charm to visit with her and share some family stories. We ate in the restaurant (10% discount for hotel guests) and enjoyed the location and the delicious meals. Our room looked out on the Piazza just down the steps from the Cathedral. It was a fabulous view and I requested it specifically. The Piazza and steps were very busy with tourists all day but in early morning and later evenings it was calmer. Great people watching, but it was not noisy in our room. Our room was beautiful with blue tile floors and lovely decorative pillows. There were plenty of hangers, much appreciated. Maria served a delicious breakfast of hot drinks, bread, cake, ham and cheese, juice and fruit. More than we would eat at home, but it set us up for the day until dinner with a gelato treat in the afternoon at one of the many shops ;-) The wifi was consistent and strong. When we arrived and departed Maria helped carry our roll-aboard suitcases. On leaving she not only took them down the stairs from the reception, but all the way through the Piazza and across to the ferry port. She was strong, amazing and pleasant. And very generous with helping a couple in their 80s. We enjoyed this stay very much.

Hotel was great. About a 20-25 min walk from the ferry/bus. You will definitely get your exercise on since it’s on an incline lol. The roof too was awesome and the staff was great and helpful. They even gave us breakfast which wasn’t included in our package. I would stay here again.
