Our stay 8-24 - 8-25 First impressions count

Stopped here on our way home. Arrived around 8:00pm. First impression of hotel was nice. When I checked in, employee was eating at the front desk. No big deal. With that being said, first impressions are important. I would suggest for Microtel Inn supply front desk employees with some sort of “uniform”, more professional than a personal T-shirt and require simple black pants. The carafes for coffee had old stained signs designating what each contained. Again, first impressions are important. Have some inexpensive engraved signs made. The hotel is pet friendly, however, there was no designated place for us to take our dogs to do their business. Everything was covered in rock making it difficult to pick up after our dogs. The tile floors on the first level by the exit door had some sort of dark spots from some type of liquid which had dripped. It was an easy fix had anyone made the effort. They were there the next morning. Again, first impressions. Our room was great. Clean, and a good size. The air conditioner worked well. We were not disturbed by any outside noises whatsoever. Would we stay again, probably.

Shower needs a handhold. There is nothing to grip onto getting in and out of shower. Inside the elevators, the "ding" sound is startlingly loud.

Super clean and updated. Was the perfect stop during our road trip to college. Breakfast had eggs and sausage.
