This one is a hidden gem.

This one is a hidden gem! The service quality it top tier, as you would expect from a "Fineschmecker" awarded restaurant. The rooms are rustical, extremely clean, with black-out courtains (for me a crucial point to get a great night sleep). Breakfast service is great, sufficient variaty. Even if the location is semi-secluded, you will be rewarded by birds singing in the morning, when going on the terasse.

Relaxing

Located on a hill with great views and excellent hiking trails. The rooms are large and comfortable. Staff is excellent and friendly. There a different restaurants on site. We are are gourmet one which was outstanding. One Michelin star. The wine list is also small but great selection. I would recommend.

tranquil in a sheep farm

The hotel is remote, a drive with steep curves if you are driving a manual transmission, but so worth it. It is less than an hour from the Frankfurt airport. My room was up two floors with no elevator but the hotel staff carried up the suitcases without a problem. There are 2 restaurants, one is a high end gourmet establish for the "foodie" crowd. The other restaurant serves exquisite reasonable priced food. The hotel is 15 minutes from Michelstadt which is a town that has retained much of its medieval and other architecture. The Christmas market is fantastic, particularly in the early evening. Parking is challenging in Michelstadt because of the volume of folks at the market. The hotel staff gave great directions and suggested a place to park in town.

Perfektes Hotel für eine Auszeit in der Natur.

Sehr geschmackvoll restaurierte Gebäude und Räume. Das absolute Highlight aber sind die Mitarbeiter, die alle durchweg freundlich, hilfsbereit und kompetent waren und Freude an der Arbeit zeigten. Das Hotel ist mitten in der Natur und bei Nacht sollte man unbedingt eine Navi nutzen. Leider war bei meinem Aufenthalt die Beleuchtung des Parkplatzes defekt und somit war der Fußweg zur Rezeption ein kleines Abenteuer. Umso schöner ist es dann aber anzukommen und den ausgezeichneten Weinkeller zu genießen.
