The rooms had not been cleaned properly. A really awful disgusting smells from outside is in the hotel and bedrooms. it comes from a sewage lake close by. To compensate they put on a extremely heavy air freshener that makes things worse. The hotel and staff are great but the hygiene levels are awful. They need to put in a air purification to ensure the smell does not come into the hotel.

Had a very pleasant stay at Fortune Ranjit Vihar. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was polite, helpful, and always ready to assist. If there was any issue with the room, they responded quickly and fixed it right away, which I really appreciated. Check-in and check-out were smooth. Overall, a good experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay in Amritsar

The location is terrible. Takes an hour and a half to reach from city center during morning and evening peak hours. Staff is very cooperative and understanding, however the way this property is run is another story. The central heating doesn't work. I was told that 'most guests request for cooling (during peak of winters) so the heating is not working. They arranged for a portable room heater but it wasn't enough. I fell sick due to a cold room. Please double check before you book here.

Our first night was great no issues, however 2nd night there was 2 private parties 1 in the basement and the 2nd on rooftop they were playing really load music till 1am in the morning! Also, the fire alarm went off every 20 minutes or so all night!

The property inside was well maintained. Bathrooms were small and outside there is a sewage canal and is surrounded by slums which were not shown in pictures. There was bad smell near the reception area too. The same building in a better area will rexieve 4-5 stars
