Staff were over the top. My issue is we arrived from an over seas flight at about 9am but were not put into our room until 3 pm. We were exhausted and had to remain in lobby for 6 hours!!! Maybe there could be a better solution

There was mold in my shower. Two of the nights it was 40 degrees out but the room had no heat. A worker came to look and said that the heater was broken in my room and that they couldn’t move me since they were completely booked. They gave me an extra blanket and nothing else. I was uncomfortable and cold while sleeping, but there was no apology or reduction in the high price that I paid. Unacceptable for the price per night.

A little gem in Amsterdam

An excellent hotel to stay in Amsterdam with lovely art deco decor. Centrally situated with the most helpful staff, offering guidance in every situation. The free drinks and snack offerings available all day were clearly appreciated by all guests.

Great & Friendly service.Well equipped rooms and bathrooms, although the bed was a little soft for my liking. Good breakfast. Relaxing lounge and free bar provides a homely feeling and is a perfect precursor to an evening out in Amsterdam. Good location. Quiet but close to several transport links and very good restaurant and cafe choices.

Would have rated as 6 rather 5 stars a few years ago during last stay pre pandemic a number of years ago, and few things no longer present such as open complimentary bar in rooms, and evening cheese/charcuterie trolly more extensive and higher end back then. Also seemed higher staffed back then. But regardless excellent location, comfortable rooms, great staff, and great complementary breakfast.
