The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is walkable to the museums, shopping and dining. The breakfast was delicious and had many options. The hotel had candy and cookies out in the lobby on a daily basis. There was also free wine and cheese hour that was well attended. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We booked this hotel due to the great reviews, being conveniently close to everything. We were staying in Amsterdam on a 24 hour layover so it was a quick stay. It is a very outdated corky place. The front desk staff is very very nice. There is no front door person helping with luggages which would be nice to have. The room was very dark, small with a very thin “mattress”. Wallpaper was peeling off and bathroom had a lot of mold. I wouldn’t consider this property a 4 star at all. Lucky for us we only stayed one night. It just wasn’t for us.

"My stay at bank mansion was fantastic! The location was unbeatable, close to everything I needed. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and had a really welcoming vibe. The staff were super friendly. I also loved how comfortable the room was—perfect for a good night's rest after a long day. Overall, a great place to stay, and I’d definitely recommend it to fellow travelers!

We loved the vibe at this hotel. Our room was lovely. The perks were awesome. The lobby social atmosphere was very enjoyable with open bar and wine and cheese hour. Breakfast was also included. Overall an excellent stay. The Location was also excellent.

Very nice hotel, familiar atmosphere. Just by the canals. Delicious and varied breakfast. The staff from the front desk helped us with the inconveniences we had and tried to make our stay pleasant. We would stay here again in the future.

The hotel is great , but ask to have a front view. We had a room with backyard view and still couldn’t see anything as the windows were fitted so high and they were very small ones. Overall- the staff are amazing and so helpful.

We did not receive any benefit to being a VIP room. Hotel was lovely, but not exceptional. No restaurant breakfast was wonderful. Open bar all day was interesting, but we didn’t really take advantage of that. The social hour with cheese was very nice. Staff was very helpful. We would’ve preferred a better room. We thought we were getting something on the water, the bed was a lot smaller than we had expected we thought we would have two beds or a king bed, but we got a queen and neither of us slept all night lol not used to space confined space. They supplied umbrellas, which was great as there is a lot of rain otherwise the very great area.

This was one of the worst check in experiences I have ever had. The check in associate was an intern and being trained. He inadvertently gave us false information. This can be expected from a trainee from time to time. However, the hotel staff, especially the front desk manager will not own up to the mistake that was made and is instead calling us liars.

Fell short on expectations
We considered many hotel options in Amsterdam and landed on Banks Mansion due to location, ratings and provided amenities (included afternoon snacks, drinks, breakfast, etc). Location of hotel was great, providing easy walking to many attractions, bars and restaurants. Beds were comfortable, room was very spacious, toiletries had a lovely scent and staff were friendly. For us the mark was missed on cleanliness and general condition of the property. Carpet in our room had stains, there was something spilled down the inside of the bedroom door, bathroom grout was visibly dirty and the bathroom door handle plate had fingerprints/visible "stuff" on it. We went to breakfast our first morning, where our shoes stuck to the floor, which just didn't land well in an environment you're going to eat at. Additionally the living room area is quite small, and seats are limited during the afternoon/evening, so arrive early if you want to hang. Again, we really wanted to love everything about it, but just didn't meet expectations and would not stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Banks Mansion. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the hotel was clean, comfortable and relaxed. The hotel is central and within easy walking distance of many of main attractions including the Rijksmuseum and Ann Franks House. We particularly liked the free snacks and drinks served everyday in the lobby and the breakfast is excellent. Special mention has to go to Sandra who takes great pleasure in cooking you eggs, from scratch, in whatever fashion you prefer. All done with a smile. All the staff really do out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

5-10 minute walk to everything. The hotel has an open bar with soda and Heineken beer. The rooms have plenty of room and the ac is perfect. Very quiet rooms. We would stay again.

Amazing location, very clean feels like it was just built, friendly staff except the weekend staff who questioned me about my status as a guest which did not make me feel so good and almost ruined my day. Loved their open bar/drinks policy!!
