The staff sometimes seems annoyed to be helpful. One in particular, but this is third tine I have stayed here and I think it is pretty consistent…there is always one who acts like it is my great privilege to stay there and they are bothered by the presence of paying customers. Also, many people cone to your hotel exhausted after traveling many hours to get to Europe. A little kindness goes a long ways.

Disappointing

We booked a triple room, so I assumed the room size would accommodate a triple bed. However, they had simply added a bed to the same double room, removed a chair so there was no sitting place, the washroom with the glass door and see-through margins were very small and just overlooked the bed. So, if you are with your family or kids, it is not a very good situation. The room has zero walking space, and the basin is in the room. So, you had to go out of the washroom to wash your hands. This hotel is only good for single or double rooms; if you have more than 2 members, better to book 2 double rooms. The triple rooms are useless. Plus, although the location of the hotel is good. It is surrounded by markets, and access to the hotel requires a brief walk. So, if you have mobility issues, then not recommended. The cafe is good.

The website is accurate, the rooms are exactly as pictured. It’s a great small hotel with amazing staff, all really helpful, cheerful and accommodating. The atmosphere is inviting, the lobby area is a comfy living room vibe.

Staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. The area is not central to the main areas but does have a lot of shop and food options in the adjacent plaza. Public transportation was easy and cheap to get into the city. Very loud at night randomly in through the windows and not a very diverse area.

Really lovely hotel, staff friendly and the dining room and bar area were nicely decorated. We asked for a room with a window. Room was decorated really lovely but it was so small. Bed is wall to wall, so you have to crawl to end of bed to get out of bed. There is with a metre width between end of bed and sink. Shower room was decorated well good size shower and toilet, no hand basin… had to you the one in bedroom. Overall if you’re looking for somewhere to sleep only it’s ok. Room is so small to spent time in there and relax.

Great reasonably priced hotel, with easy public transit both from the airport on bus 369 and tram 17 to the museum district and Centraal Station. Staff is very helpful, with a shout-out to Attila. The shopping center has everything you would ever need, and there are several nice restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.

We are not happy with this booking as we paid £600 for this for 5 days which is quite a lot as we wanted a nice hotel we saw the staff clean every room but ours which we aren’t happy about as we felt like our room was avoided for some reason and we aren’t happy as part of the service charge is for cleaning, they came in each day and changed one small towel which was big enough for your hair not body each day still left the bins and everything else in place didn’t even change the bed once in 5 days which I think is ridiculous,the rooms were extremely small which we can’t complain about as we were aware of this before booking but another problem was with the mattress hanging off the bed which caused us to trip over quite a lot which I would say is a general health and safety issue as I fell forward into the cupboards a number of times and but in general the only thing we couldn’t complain about were the reception staff who were lovely and friendly. I would like someone to look at a partial refund as we are not happy at the fact everyone we were aware of staying the hotel had their rooms cleaned and ours wasn’t as we feel this is targeted and unfair as this is a service we pay for included in this price

We recently stayed at the Citiez hotel and it was an incredible experience! The staff was out of this world and the rooms were clean and comfortable! Excellent hotel staff! Next time I travel to Amsterdam, I will definitely stay here!! Atila was the best!

Citiez is a very nice place to stay as the bedrooms are well-designed and comfy and the staff are helpful and friendly. The only things missing in our room was a kettle and soap but other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Bed was squeaky, behind the bed where the curtains were seemed like hasn’t been dusted in years and you can hear everyone through the walls of your room, especially the corridor. No soap provided ( which is a first for me in a hotel) as well as no bin provided. Only saving grace is the staff as they were lovely and the location is very close to local shops and tram stop to get you into the centre in about 25 minutes. Parking is also free with a charge of 10 euro if you’d like to leave more than once and enter again which is alright considering amsterdams prices. I would not stay again willingly, spend a bit extra and get something that isn’t as noisy
