The location is perfect to explore the city and has everything you need. We stayed on the fourth floor with a garden view and although you can't see the garden the view of the skyline was stunning. The breakfast was lovely and fresh and all staff were friendly. We'd definitely recommend!

The hotel is clean, modern and tidy and the staff friendly, polite and helpful. We did not like the cost of the breakfast which, we think was too expensive for the choice on offer and the evening meal options are very limited and rhe bar area lacks atmosphere in the evening. There is no coffee/tea making facility in the bedroom which, we believe should be standard. There is nothing worse than finding no such facility after a long and tiring journey to the hotel. Although we had a large, comfortable bed it is one of those you cannot walk around so we had to exit it from the bottom each time in the middle of the night. Not ideal for customer who are up a few times in the night. The TV could only be operated via the iPad. Not ideal for older customers and we believe a RC should be made available.

Outstanding!

I was looking forward to writing this. I can’t say enough about my experience. It was a total pleasure to stay… we extended it for that reason. The rooms are spotless and a comfort experience. The breakfast was a delicious delight and even catered to my gluten and dairy free needs. Loved every moment. The staff are so helpful and friendly. They definitely have a team effort mentality. Even the copious art work is amazing… right down to the carpet! Well done Citizen.

Conveniently located, clean room, ipad controls for the room are a nice idea, would definitely use again. Room was small though, think it would have been cramped if it had been me and my partner but ideal for a solo traveller

The hotel is impeccably clean and modern, with everything in the room conveniently controlled by an iPad. The sleek, updated design adds to the overall comfort. The food is exceptional—there’s no need to dine out, as the quality and prices are excellent. The staff are outstanding—courteous, accommodating, and truly go above and beyond. Great Tourist Hotel

Citizen M is a wonderful hotel located in old town Amsterdam. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel seems to be new and very clean. The location is ideal for tourists because the tram stops right outside the hotel and the subway is less than a block away. The breakfast was amazing.
