***BEWARE BED BUGS DAMAGE TO HEALTH*** The most awful hotel. If could give less than 1 start definitely would. In short: - stayed at the hotel December 2024 - ridden with bed bugs - facilities outdated, dirty, needs major maintenance - no sound isolation, can hear everything outside the hotel and in hotel lobby as if it’s happening in the room - bed bugs caused severe damage to health, hotel refused to fully refund and apologise to injured party even when provided physical proof of bed bugs and pictures of bed bugs/ injuries caused by them. This has happened before in the hotel. Manager uncontactable, hotel receptionists take the brunt of it all. Had to check out early holiday ruined DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL AS IT IS UNSAFE

Bed had lots of pilling balls and quite uncomfortable. Thankfully I had 2 singles so I slept on top of the quilt of my other bed. Room was ok. But dusty in places and need of some deeper cleaning but it was ok. Great location and everything worked. Nice staff too. So yeah just need to do more thorough cleaning

Amazing Stay!

Amazing spot, location was great for all spots! Service was lovely, everyone was so friendly. The bed was super comfortable, room was clean and also had central heating. Overall, very happy with the stay, would stay again!

Pleasant stay

Seconds from Rokin train station. Very central. A pleasant 15 minute walk to Amsterdam Centraal station. Lots of shops and eateries nearby. Quick and efficient check in. Walls are not that soundproof so if you happen to be next door to somebody very loud-You will hear them. Room was small but Perfectly sufficient, and I would stay there again

We stayed here for 3 nights, and I think I only have one positive about this hotel. The location. In great walking distance of everything and good transport links. However… The cleanliness in the room was not ideal. Ripped towels (they did bring clean towels daily however), marks on the lamp shade, dirty toilet brush, mould around the window and wall, loose wires, and a hole in the wall showing wires. On our last night before checkout, I had noticed when the bottom sheet of the bed came loose, there was a big brown stain on the mattress. Granted, I should have checked the bed when we first got in the room, but still, you don’t really expect it to be in that state, and the bed sheets were clean! We decided to just fit the sheet back and deal with it for one last night, as it was quite late at this point, and we would be leaving in the morning. It wasn’t until the morning, we had noticed we both had bites/ red lumps and rash on our ankles/ legs. Obviously we both thought the worst… bed bugs! I didn’t fully inspect the bed, as all I wanted to do was get out of there! But I put two and two together. When we went down to checkout, I complained to reception about it, but they didn’t seem too shocked/ bothered by it. Safe to say I won’t be staying here again. I did check reviews before booking and but nothing seemed to be particularly bad. It wasn’t really a cheap hotel either!

Dear Expedia Customer Support, I am writing to formally request a refund for my stay at Cordial Hotel, as the conditions of the room fell far below even the most basic standards of cleanliness, comfort, and safety. Despite the hotel's positive reviews and convenient location, my experience was unacceptable and has caused me significant inconvenience and additional expenses. I was assigned Room 104, which the receptionist described as a “nice room.” However, the following issues were immediately apparent: Mold Smell in the Bathroom: The bathroom emitted a strong odor of mold, making it unpleasant and unsanitary to use. Non-Functional Light Fixtures: The light fixture on the left side of the double bed was not working, reducing the room's functionality and comfort. Uncomfortable Bedding: The mattress pad shifted throughout the night, and the pillows were so uncomfortable that I had to use my neck pillow to sleep. Bed Bug Infestation: The most egregious issue, however, was the presence of bed bugs in the room. Unfortunately, by the end of my stay, I suffered from severe bed bug bites all over my body and face. These bites became infected, requiring unexpected medical treatment. The pain and discomfort disrupted my trip, and I incurred additional medical expenses due to this issue.
