Sadly let down by no room available at check in time, the toilet flush needs the strength of a weight lifter to push and for some strange reason the room air con kept setting itself back at 20 degrees. No good in the 35 degree heatwave! Clean hotel, staff excellent and the breakfast is amazing.

Hotel is conveniently located next to central station. The rooms are a bit small, but have everything you need. Ask for a room on the lower floors though, as the rooftop bar has thumping music until 2 am on the weekend. A real shame, as otherwise a nice hotel.

The hotel is a great short walk to centraal station on the river, great staff who are super helpful, the rooms are spacious for Amsterdam, comfortable and have lovely large beds. There is a great 11th floor bar with views of the city and a large restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a great coffee shop, Lot61, on the end of the building. There is an Albert haijh two doors down for supplies and shopping and a short walk to all forms of transport. Be aware of the cost of city tax which you will pay on arrival as well as a security deposit of $100, which mine was returned the same day I checked out so I cannot fault that.
