Stay was okay..rooms were nice enough but when we arrived was asked to pay 50€ for something that wasn’t mention at any point before we arrived, the heating didn’t work in the room so it was always so cold, the shower water was so hot you couldn’t stand in it and unable to change the temperare. Also no towels, the rooms were noisy so could hear everyone walking around, one tiny pillow and the bed were super very hard😂 other than that it was okay
The air conditioning in the room was leaking, so they transferred us to another room. Accdg to the staff it was an upgrade but it was no exhaust, no place to hang towels, no towels, no glasses and cups. And the floors are made from wood so it was so noisy when people on the next floor and beside were walking.
Shower is broken, unable to adjust, no cold water, managed to finish shower, countertop dirty, I wipe with my tower, turned yellow, one of the big tower has stain on it, no instructions for service in room, had to go to service desk to get hair dryer, has smells in the room. I don't think this is 3 star hotel.thanks.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They all spoke English very well and I had no communication issues.
The hotel was very clean and well kept and though the room was small compared to American hotel rooms, it was more than enough for just myself staying a few nights. The bathroom was especially nice.
The breakfast area was very large and kept immaculately clean, and the buffet was very much worth the extra price.
The hotel was about a 20 minute bus ride to the Centraal station, as well as to Leidseplein, the area of town near the Hard Rock Cafe and not far from the Rijksmuseum. (This is where a nice walking/ shopping area was close-by and where a couple of my boat tours started from.) I purposely picked this hotel so that as a female traveling alone I would to be a little away from the main touristy areas and the main station, and definitely not in the red light district, especially at night. The hotel is in what feels like a very residential and normal area and I felt very safe walking the couple minutes from the bus or tram station to the hotel, even at night time.
I would definitely stay here again if I ever visited Amsterdam again. Thank you.
Our breakfasts were supposed to be included in stay and hotel insisted they were not on their system even though i had proof. Staff was rude. There were dubious stains on the wall and on sheets. When i asked for my check out printout i was refused as i was not allowed to see different prices to what i paid. I said i wanted to make sure i was not being charged for extras we did not have as they had my card details. They took a long time to give me this after seemingly deleting items from the bill. I will be checking my credit card statement on my return to UK. Very disapointing.
