Firstly, the rooms are fine. Bit tired and rundown but for a couple of nights I could deal with this for the benefit of the relatively central location. We were in a basement room which, be warned, is noisy. You'll have a window that is literally at ground level to the outside which is a busy main road so you'll get foot traffic, car traffic, and shouting 24/7. We were relatively satisfied until checkout when I handed my one key card to the girl on reception who couldn't wait to tell me that the person who checked us in had put two in the system and that "this will have to be charged". When we checked in we were asked how many key cards we wanted and we asked for one and were given one. This was clearly a ploy to keep the €50 cash deposit you have to handover when you arrive. I told the girl we had only asked for one and she rudely and aggressively just kept saying the system said we had two and repeated that it would be charged. To cut to the chase I asked her if this was her way of keeping our deposit to which she asked me to be polite. It was all absolute nonsense and she then continued to repeat the word "politeness" to me without answering my questions, then continuing to go on about the second key card we never had in the first place. I made it clear I was not leaving without the deposit at which point she banged around and handed me a €50 note and kept saying "politeness". I was perfectly polite but there's not a chance I'm falling for a blatant con like this.

This place has overall great and has a good location, however you may bear a few expectations in mind: -room cards kept deactivating and we had to reactivate them several times which was frustrating. -no cups/electric kettle in room for drinking -no cups/

The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was acceptable for the price, bed was comfortable. Carpet is old and badly stained, needs to be replaced.

This is a two-star hotel and it would be unfair to expect any kind of luxury for the price I paid in a major European capital city. The floor of my room wasn't even, which meant that one side of the bed was slightly higher than the other and the window was propped open by the TV remote control when I arrived. The bed was immediately next to the window, so it was draughty with the window open, but too hot with the window closed, and light got through underneath the curtains. As I say, for the price I paid, I have no complaints and I was only staying one night (which is one of the reasons I decided to go cheap). I wouldn't have wanted to stay for any length of time though, as the lack of sleep would have had a negative effect on my enjoyment of the city.

Doors have no lock on the inside smelt of cannabis bedding was not clean bought a large sheet from primark to sleep on due to the state of the sheets aldo caught a fungle infection from the bed/shower and pillow staff were nice tho

Choisissez une chambre supérieur et ce sera ok.

Cet hotel etait le meilleur choix économique au moment de choisir une chambre privé. Je ne voulais pas d'un lit dans un dortoir avec des gens souvent mal éduqué qui ne savent pas être discret et respectueux. Ma chambre au Blossom hotel était la 105 au 1er étage. Elle est petite mais propre et confortable. Pas aussi terrible qu'en disent certaines critiques. Y a un ascenceur pour monter les étages au lieu de prendre des escaliers étroits. La réception est 24h et le staff est serviable. Près du métro et des trams. Y a beaucoup de d'attraits touristiques accessible à pied autour comme le rijksmuseum et heineken ecperience. Y avait du moisi autour de la fenêtre de ma chambre mais c'est pas quelque chose qui m'a empêché d'être confortable et comme tout est très chers à Amsterdam, je dirais que le rapport qualité/prix était bon pour cette ville. Je le recommande mais choisissez un chambre plus cher que celles au prix de base à mon avis.

Not bad for a budget hotel. Reasonably clean and not the smallest room we've ever stayed in. Main issue in a front basement room is noise. A well-fitted double-glazed window would help a lot.

Small and old

Room was tiny which is normal in Amsterdam, but the mattress was so bobbly the bobbles could be felt through the sheets. Window in a state of rot so totally sealed and room couldnt be ventilated. Although old most items were clean. Location is amazing and the staff nice There ade a flight of steps to the front door that some people will struggle with. I would stay here again despite these issues though.

Good stay

The hotel was lovely and the staff nice and friendly. Basic rooms but everything you would need. Location very good with few minute walk to both Tram stop and Metro station. Would stay here again if come back to Amsterdam.
