Everything was fine till the moment I left hotel. I realized I left my headphones in the room called reception and asked them about check my room they lied nothing was left there. Which was a lie because I could still see my headphones on Apple radar they was left in the room and I remembered I left them with charger on the side table. Eventually after a few hours (ended their shift?)they changed location. So finally I ended with no headphones and somebody (likely staff member) just simply stole it. And I can still see location patethic!!!

It's easy to find and location is convenient to transit and dining. Hotel has elevators which is great. Room is small but that seems like an Amsterdam thing in general. Bed was comfortable.

Highly recommend
I am super pleased with my stay at Hotel Cornelisz. I didn’t realize when booking that it was only a 5 minute walk from the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseums but obviously that was a plus. Across the Main Street a short walk down is a sizeable shopping center, corner store, and though I mostly used Uber and walking for transport, there are close public transport links. Breakfast was convenient although not luxurious, it was tasty and about the same as you’ll pay at a nearby restaurant so all in all a good deal. It is a quiet street that has lots of interesting areas to explore nearby and the room itself was superb. It was clean, quite spacious, had double opening windows and amazing beds, the best sleep I can remember having recently in a hotel. 24/7 reception desk is very convenient too. I would be happy to recommend this to family and friends who visit Amsterdam!

We really enjoyed the historic hotel, well modernized, old & beautiful building yet modernized, friendly & helpful staff. We arrived very early, and they were more than helpful and accommodating, even arranged an early check-in, coffees delivered when we didn’t have the correct change for their coffee maker, beautiful lounge with small library of travel and other books. Comfy beds & nice duvets. Definitely would stay there again!

Right on Leidseplein - the location is super. Staff - like the hotel itself are also wonderful. Our 5 days in Amsterdam flew by and this lovely central hotel did everything we needed it to. The only point, with some of the smaller rooms as we chose, the ceilings are very low in certain points of the room. Once you bang your head once, you’re not likely to do it again! Would stay here again!

Very convenient location for the main museums which are a couple of minutes walk away. Quiet at night. Room fairly small but comfortable and clean. Hotel tidy and in good condition. Good breakfast buffet.

Loved this hotel. Great location, close to public transit, museums, shops and restaurants. Not fancy, but we didn't need fancy. Front desk staff was so friendly and helpful too! Nice furnishings and amenities. Small guest room and bathroom but totally workable. Standard for older Europe hotels I believe. Small elevator but appreciated since the stairs in these old buildings are treacherous! I can imagine the rooms might get stuffy and hot in the summer with no AC but they do provide fans. It was perfect for us in early Oct with a window open.
