Our small Double room was perfect for our needs. It was quiet at night and we were happy to have a tower fan available just in case we felt too warm. Having an elevator was also a bonus.

The staff and location were wonderful. The building was typically Dutch with very steep stairs, but the elevator helped with luggage, We had reserved 3 rooms and they were able to put 2 of them next to each other. Two of the rooms were just fine, absolutely no complaints, The third room (352) was not good. For me the smell of urine from the bathroom was horrible, the towel rack had come off the door and not replaced or repaired, the bath room trash can was broken. It seemed as if.the room hadn’t been fixed up yet? The alley where the hotel is situated does not like the picture at all, but as I said the only real negative was th smell which we did report and no change was evident. I did appreciate the wonderful hospitality as we checked in-the hostess was a delight,

The beds are small but comfortable. Not a lot of amenities but the staff is very helpful. Breakfast is basic but adequate and the coffee machine is nice. The location is great and I overall it was a great stay.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Great experience. We were in the room just inside the main entrance, which I was a little concerned about at first. But it was quiet. There was two fans/purifiers in the room that reduced noise.

Location was great in the heart of Jordaan, and close to the 9 streets shopping and several great cafes and restaurants. The nearest tram station is about 10 min walk away and there is no metro station nearby however, which isn’t too bad if you’re just going to the main tourist districts and are able to walk everywhere. The building itself is dated, and if you’re a light sleeper you might want to stay away as the creaking floorboards through the night and paper thin walls that allow you to hear your neighbour’s conversations (and plumbing!) will keep you up. Room rate was also slightly pricey. But overall despite its faults, the room was clean, I had clean sheets, clean toilet, which were all the basic stuff I needed for my stay. The reception staff were also friendly and helpful.
