Stayed only one night during a long flight layover. Great location, few minutes walk to Amsterdam Central Station. Very basic room amenities, but good enough if you out for most of the day and come back at night. Breakfast has a good variety. The staff is excellent!

If you can put up with some cons, there are pros
Restaurant and breakfast were subpar. Get ready for surly desk staff and loud drunks and potheads outside your room. Bar is nice though, and its a 3 minute walk to the train station.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Amsterdam. The front desk clerk some of them were nice most very rude. We asked for room services everyday and the front desk staff assured they do rooms everyday but we never received any room services during our two days and three nights stay there. On top we saw a mouse running around on the day before we checked out from the hotel. We paid high price for the hotel but completely disappointed. The breakfast offered was horrible with water down juices and very poor food display. Will not recommend anyone.

The public streets around the hotel were always littered. In fact, I was surprised there was a lot of litter throughout Amsterdam.

Cosy and comfortable and well situated for transport links as well as walking around the city. It has charm and character as you would expect from an older building - if you are looking for double glazing and a more 'modern' hotel, then this is not for you. An excellent team of staff (friendly, welcoming and very efficient) from reception to front of house and the food was delicious. I have stayed before, and would stay again.

A decent hotel very conveniently located near the Centraal Train station (with 20 min ride to Schiphol Airport) so very easy to get around and in the heart of the action. But convenience of location means quite noisy with the throngs of people passing in the streets outside. Room was clean but rather rundown - but the wifi worked. Breakfast buffet was fine. Staff were friendly generally. A busy place but overall it was fine.

Just way too noisy for me
Location is great, but just way too noisy for me! My room must have been over a pub entrance as I heard people partying and screaming until 4am every morning. I wouldn't stay here again due to the noise. But if you're a late-night partier, it would be great as it's in a great location, breakfast is nice, and convenient to central station and lots of bars and restaurants.
