The room was recently renovated. The bathroom was shared, which was a surprise since the there was a photo of a bathroom when clicking in the room photos. The shared bathroom (both toilet and separate shower) were extremely small. The walls are so thin that anything spoken in the adjacent room can be heard. The carpet in the common areas is extremely old (I would recommend the hotel to change since the rooms are nicely done). The staff of the check out was nice but the one of the check in was not really welcoming. Breakfast was nice, but I had to pay extra because I did not book, which was not alerted to me in the check in.

Staff didn’t have the best attitude and the room was on the second floor with no elevator and our friend was in crutches. Breakfast wasn’t included which was strange and was like 20 euros for cheese tomorrow and croissant. I also did laundry with the sister hiotel for 25 euros and was damp when I got it the next day. Not a good experience.

Upon check-in we were hit with a surprise charge for some sort of taxes and then my INFANT wasn’t accounted for on our reservation, so an additional ~$40 PER NIGHT was added for her (MORE than what the booking price was, per individual.) total surprise payment was approximately $200+/-….. plus the deposit hold. To note: No cancellation refunds allowed. The stairs to the first floor were extremely steep and small, thankfully we left our stroller at the front desk. however lugging a baby and a Car seat + luggage to and from the room, daily, was a pain. No AC, No washcloths, no fridge, no microwave. Baby crib is limited availability so we had to make a floor-bed for our baby the first night… Breakfast is additional $$ per person. The drink machine houses warm drinks.. The location was decent and a quick walk to the tram stop which my family of 4 used daily, which was the most the hotel had to offer, in my opinion..

The Hotel is basic. Common areas a little tired. Room clean and modern, but basic no means to make a coffee for example. The hotel is a converted town house. Stairs very steep and difficult. Ours was a basement room with high windows at pavement level.

Hôtel situé près des musées donc très facile d’accès. Par contre pour aller à la vieille ville, il faut prendre le transport en commun ou marcher environ 30 minutes. L’hôtel était très bien les chambres très propres. le personnel à la réception a été très accueillant.

Terrible Experience – Avoid This Hotel I had a very disappointing stay. First of all, there is no lift, which made getting to the upper floors a real struggle—especially with luggage. The stairs are incredibly steep and feel dangerous, with a serious risk of falling. This place is absolutely not suitable for elderly guests, anyone with mobility issues, or even families with young children. The breakfast was poor, with very limited options and low-quality food. Items weren’t replenished, and the dining area felt cramped and disorganized. To make things worse, this is clearly a 2-star hotel charging 4-star prices. The facilities and service do not match the cost in any way. Overall, I felt ripped off and frustrated. Would not recommend—there are far better options out there for the same or even lower price.

Death stairs Facebook group candidate. The stairs are steep and uneven, other than that lovely stay. There's a good continental breakfast, with three time slots 7.15-8, 8.10-9, 9.15 to 10ish as the eating area is small. Room was clean but warm. The bathroom was small but more than adequate, although possible needs some paint touch ups. Staff were incredibly helpful. The area was quiet, we slept with the balcony door open and had full night sleeps

Extremely steep staircases, the rooms are far from soundproof, you can hear every guest that walks by. The beds are comfortable but the pillows are terrible - i think they put a pillow cover on a centerblock. The area is quiet and very close to the koncert hall and museums, and plenty dining options within walking distance.

What a lovely hotel! It reminds me of a townhouse inside, with a beautiful communal area for breakfast - which was delicious and has way more than your average hotel breakfast. A nice, safe, relaxing place to rest after seeing the city. It feels like it's a quiet local neighborhood, but it's only about a 10 minute walk from most of the famous museums, and maybe 20 minutes commute to Anne Frank's House and downtown sites. Hamed, who was at the front desk during my stay, is so kind and helpful. He answered all my questions and assisted me with renting a bike from the hotel, and patiently gave me tips about Amsterdam. I chose the smallest room, which required a walk up several flights of stairs - common in Europe - and it was indeed small but just right for me, and every aspect of the room was thoughtfully designed, from the cool lighting, blackout curtains, and tv mounted on the wall, to the shelf storage in the bathroom. I know they offer various sized rooms, and although I saw several other guests around, whenever it was just me, it was peaceful and quiet. I would stay again, but myself or with a group in a larger room. If they put in an elevator, I would love there! 10/10.
