The staff is super amenable and accommodating, and the rooms are clean and pleasant, even if the shower situation, just as in hotels in other European cities, is not ideal (water accumulates in half the bathroom after a simple bath). But that's a detail that's easily overlooked given the positives, including the quiet, picturesque neighborhood. All in all, Amsterdam was a revelation and the Linden and its surroundings certainly played a part.

Attention To Detail
Key to a good stay at any hotel is a comfortable bed and a clean room. This was not the case with my experience at the Linden Hotel. Especially for the cost.

Always a nice stay in the heart of the Jordaan district. Only complaint is pillows are very big, hard and uncomfortable. Everything else is fantastic.

This hotel did the little extra things that made a big positive effect. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was quiet but close enough to walk everywhere. It was a great experience.

Very small, and outdated
Rooms are very, very small. It’s typical in Amsterdam, but there is no sound proofing, you will hear and be woken up by loud stomping up and down stairs and in the floors above you. No refrigerators in rooms. Rooms are old and outdated for the price, it felt like a college dorm room and not a nice hotel. Carpet is old, smells, and stained. Curtains are old and musty. Walls are all stained. Bathroom is so small it’s hard to turn around in it. This hotel got a lot of good reviews, which is why I chose it, but I thought this was one of the worst rooms I’ve ever gotten in a hotel. The staff was really nice though and the location is good near the tram and in a hip neighborhood.

The staff make you feel welcomed and its in a really nice quiet side but close to all the museums and city center. Several food options and shops closeby. Many amenities like a coffee station, lemon mint water, baked goods, sweets every day, and checkout goodie bag for your flight. Highly recommend 👌

We just had a great stay at The Linden. The staff were great (friendly and helpful) and the location was perfect (great walkable neighborhood just a little off the beaten path.) Would definitely stay there again!

The property is located by a canal and our room had a nice view of it and the surrounding area. The entire hotel was well decorated, especially the lobby and the room. Bathroom was clean as well. Customer service was outstanding, as the staff at the front desk always quickly accommodated our requests.

Such a great stay! My first solo travel as a female so I was definitely a little nervous but everyone here was so welcoming and made me feel super safe. The area around it is also great, love the neighborhood Jordaan.

The room I had was to close to the reception and was quite noisy from staff and guests. The guests going by my room also dusturbed me. My windows opened to a side road which was very noisy if kept open. The toilet and shower room.were very clean but there was water every where because the shower did not have a proper enclosure Not a great first experience.
