Excellent room. Jacuzzi bath made it extra special. You need to wear ear plugs at night other it would be difficult to sleep with noise from bars and nightclub. 10 minutes on train to Amsterdam and trsins are very regular. Restaurants all very close by. Would definitely visit again

The property was under reconstruction-which didn’t tell their guest! So every morning was woken up by that horrible noise before 8am! Even asked to stop… they didn’t! Really disappointing and bad experience! Also the manager didn’t come back to me although I was promised at the checkout! Don’t waste your money!

Got locked out for the night at 10.30 pm
I was very happy with the room and the staff, which were fabulous. Unfortunately, on the 8th, around 10.30 PM, I got locked out when my keycard didn't work on the door. I tried to call the number provided several times, and didn't get through to anyone. I was very upset and started to panic. Luckily I wasn't travelling entirely solo this trip, and was able to stay with a friend in his hotel, which was uncomfortable because I was so upset. It was very stressful that there was no sort of emergency number to call, and I had no way to contact anyone. All my clothes and belongings were in the room too, so I had to sleep in my clothes. The next day, one of the staff replaced my keycard with a working one, and I was able to freshen up. Aside from this the air filter needs to be changed according to the climate control panel, so there was some dust in the air. I've emailed the hotel about the above a week ago, and didn't hear back. Even though when I was checking out, the very kind staff member said they'd send an email. This feedback should be easy to action to avoid similar experiences going forward. I'd suggest checking all filters for the rooms, and setting up an "out of hours" emergency number for when the bar is closed. If it weren't for these issues, my rating would have been a 5 star experience.

Had an amazing stay with Manzo’s, they were very hospitable and met our needs with the upmost care. The only issue was the taps, there was a leak in the tap but wasn’t much of an issue. Not a bad distance from Amsterdam city and very close to Zaandam station. Highly recommend staying here

I do not like to write a poor review when the staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Room was clean. Bed was a foam/latex mattress that was firm and suited me well. No elevator. Very steep stairs to reception. No bellboy / porter. More stairs to the rooms. And I have arthritis. The hotel was very hard to find, very obscure entrance. And door is locked so we had to call and call and wait. Room is small. Hanging closet space less than 40 cm wide. No desk or table to work at. No furniture except the bed and a slim bench under the window. Morning of our departure no hot water in the middle of winter. Management had decided to turn off hot water during the night to save money. No room service. No food without leaving hotel. Fortunately the area has lots of restaurants, takeout and grocer, and outdoor market. So we did manage to live cheaply in Amsterdam. But would not repeat this.

I liked our room and the check in staff but I did not like that they had a super loud live band the last night of our stay and we all had early flights so we didn't get ANY sleep and nobody told us this was planned or we would have booked at another hotel closer to the airport that night. I also thought the curly haired owner/manager down in the restaurant was super rude. I brought them a LOT of business (I booked out the entire hotel for 3 nights) and she got upset that we brought a bottle of wine to celebrate (you'd think THEY would have offered me one as appreciation for so much business) and we even got permission to bring it in from our waiter, he said "no problem" and then she yelled at him in front of us and was also rude to us. NOT COOL OR PROFESSIONAL AT ALL OF HER. Overall, we had a nice stay but the things I mentioned should have not happened. They need to inform guests when booking if a loud band is coming and if you book out ALL the rooms, they should show appreciation by a bottle of wine or at least let us bring one and be nice about it.
