Great location if you want noise and to be right in the party side of town. Far from red light and train station Very noisy at night Staff were very nice if needed but service was good and they were polite.

NH Caransa is located near Rembrandtplien, a busy area in Amsterdam. As a result, the tram traffic to the hotel is frequent, and the area is often noisey. Rooms at the front of the hotel are affected by the outdoor noise. It appears that the hotel is about 50 years old, yet the facilities seem to be in working order. The hotel lacks a lobby because the space has been rented to ground floor restaurants.

I have stayed at many NH branded hotels in Amsterdam during the last 12 years. The NH Caransa today is the only affordable hotel among them. It is a fine place.

The location was perfect. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff were fantastic. Breakfast could have been better and not all the options were available. The shower soaked the bathroom floor and the room got very warm.
