A very nice hotel in a beautiful area near the Vondelpark. The service is really professional and polite and the hotel is very modern. I'd definitely stay here again.

There was no toilet brush in the bathroom so every time you did a poo, you had to stick your hand down the toilet pan with a load of toilet paper to clean it. Not very nice indead. The bar prices were a rip off so after being stung once we never went in again. We also walked out of their restaurant on the one evening we had booked because after being shown to our table, both my wife and I sat there for thirty minutes and were ignored. Not a single member of the serving staff came to ask even for our order, not even drinks.

The property itself is nice and it’s located next to a lovely park full of runners and cyclists. The rooms don’t seem to get made up each day (coffee cups replaced etc.) and water didn’t get refilled for some reason. Although I had VIP benefits I wasn’t offered any of them (room upgrade, money off food (which was good but expensive) etc. when I queried with the management they didn’t want to know. They also promised me a bottle of wine when checking in which never materialised. Despite Expedia taking things up on my behalf they were quite rude about it making me feel quite uncomfortable for raising it. So I left feeling quite disappointed and a bit out of pocket which is a shame as a little pragmatism on their part and I could have been a real advocate of the hotel. As ever with good service it’s not necessarily the original issue that’s the main problem it’s how it’s dealt with which in this case wasn’t good at all. Not sure therefore how they would respond to any issues raised.

Lovely, modern and comfortable hotel. Nice rooms, comfy beds, great breakfast buffet. Location is just on the outskirts of the city, but 10-15 mins on the tram and you are bang in the centre of Amsterdam. The tram runs every 7-10 mins and is a 10 min walk from the hotel. It’s SO easy. The hotel is located in a leafy, tree-lined avenue in what appears to be a lovely part of the city, so it was relatively quiet and felt very safe. They stored our luggage for us on arrival and departure day too, which was so helpful. Shame about the miserable woman on breakfast table clearing and setting duty, but that’s the only thing I could fault. They have a water bottle refill station, safes in the room, extra pillows upon request. We stayed as a family of 4 and requested rooms next to each other and they fulfilled that request for us too. We will certainly stay there again.
