Very quiet location, super comfy bed and pillow selection was a lovely surprise. Staff were all very kind and responsive to any requests we may have had.

staff very basic service not very welcoming, no different than a three-star Hotel in the area, for example, I wasn't even greeted on arrival and had to find my own way to reception. The main building appears nice, but do not stay in the "premium annexe"; this is a basic separate building, a block of flats behind the hotel (not displayed in any of the photos of the advert), accessed through a very small side door of the main building (giving the impression of using a staff/employee door and not a welcomed high-paying guest). Both breakfast and the basic spa are based in the main building (accessed through the side door aforementioned). However, I did not feel welcome enough to engage in these services. Rooms are ok, no better than the other three/or four-star hotels in the area Location is nice, about a 30-minute walk from Rembrandtplein. if you want a basic experience, this hotel is fine. If you are looking for a five-star experience to match its price, this is not the hotel for you

We found the staff not really that helpful, the stairs to go up with your luggage is not ideal, there was a young man there but he is at the top of stairs and is not paying attention, i saw most people lifting theor bags up the steep stairs…. the layout is a bit weird … and GET RID OF THE CARPET !!! in the rooms!! The lounge area is majestic!! beautiful original features! The area is quite a ways from main city… very quiet but lovely

I had a very pleasant stay at the Pestana Riverside Hotel in April 2025. The hotel itself is beautiful—stylish, well-maintained, and full of charm. The staff were absolutely amazing: warm, helpful, and always professional, which really made the stay feel special. Breakfast was a real highlight, with a fantastic variety and quality that set us up perfectly for the day. The location is also excellent, with easy walking access to tram stops, making it simple to explore the city. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!
