Great, very spacious room with plenty of storage, shelving, hooks for personal effects. We also used the iron/board and hairdryer that is provided. The bathroom was large with a great, walk in, wet room type shower. The only negative was the mirror that was placed far too high as there are adults that are actually shorter than 5ft 10” or so! Our biggest criticism was the welcome upon arrival. The reception area is not inviting at all……it was too dark and too hot with the actual reception desk, I feel, far too small. The check in was slow and not very personable at all. We knew we were probably too early but we still had to wait too long amongst a crowd to be told this. Fortunately, members of our party had been able to get checked in before us and get access to their room, so we could store our luggage with them. Would we stay again? Yes definitely despite the reception area. The transport links are magnificent as the Metro is literally next door with it taking 5 mins to get to Central station in Amsterdam.

This was a great hotel in a great location that was perfect for taking the train as it is located at the end of the line. This made it easy to go other places without getting lost. My only complaint was the hotel restauraunt only served pizza... though it was good. The rooms were also a little small but super clean, comfy and modern. The staff was friendly and definitely a place I would come back to the next time i travel to Amsterdam. The hotel was also only train two stops away from the popular red light district.

My husband left a tablet in the room and we were leaving on a cruise. We were already on the ship when we received an email that the hotel staff found it. One of the staff Zoey offered to bring it to the ship and meet us. The whole staff was wonderful. She certainly went above and beyond.

I had a horrible experience at this hotel. On my Expedia reservation states the local tax is CAD$ 147.58, however, I was charged 168.76 EURO at the hotel. The reception won't explain why, She even said it's because of the currency difference. CAD is more expensive than EURO. I contacted Expedia and they try to reach this hotel about this matter, but Tribe never response, not even a word. it's been over a month. They have no attitude to face the issue. Stay alert! they may overcharge you!!!

Tribe is located at the northern end of the M52 Amsterdam metro line. Trains run often, and many of the most popular areas are located along the line. Get an unlimited metro pass and travel to your heart's content. If you want to visit the windmills or the castle, these are about a 20-min ride away in an Uber. (It's longer if you take public transportation, but both the train and buses are also affordable options). The hotel itself is wonderful. The staff is friendly, helpful, and multilingual . Also, pleasant surprise: They provide free umbrellas on frequent rainy days. Opt in for the breakfast; you'll have a multitude of hot and cold options, and they also make eggs to order. There is also a bar that open till midnight if you want to have a drink but not travel home so late at night. The rooms are comfortable with a mini fridge, safe, and roomy shower. There is also a fitness area on the 8th floor, if you are so included. I would absolutely stay here again.

We had a 3 night stay in this hotel. It is located less than 2 mins walk from the metro which made it very easy and convenient to get to Amsterdam central. Central is only 5mins on the metro from here. The room a good size and was very clean, fresh and modern. The beds were very comfortable, the shower had a rainfall and normal shower head, both with good pressure. They also had complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash which was ideal as we were travelling light. We could not hear any noise from outside in the room and very little noise from the hallway. This hotel is such good value for money especially given how easy it is to get to central and when you compare to other prices closer to Amsterdam central. We had little interaction with staff as we were able to self check in on arrival which was so easy. However every time we left and return staff were always polite and friendly. All in all we loved this hotel and will definitely choose this one if we were to visit again.

Area outside not clean, whilst the Hotel is non smoking people go outside to smoke but there is rubbish bin to dispose of butts. Rooms are great. Easy access to city. With self checking in and out there is little need to have any dialogue with staff. Booked visit to Rijksmuseum and had to change date and time, was told by staff at reception to contact Museum directly which we did only to receive email reply 2 days later due to weekend to be told to deal with outlet ie. Hotel who made booking on our behalf. Rather disappointing and out of pocket by 45 Euro.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tribe Amsterdam City. It was a short tram ride to Amsterdam central city. It was clean and the staff was great. My only complaint is that I would have liked a choice of pillows as their pillows were big and hard.

I loved it , it was a 5 minute walk to the train station a bunch of food places and even a grocery store. Away from the hustle and bustle but not isolated from anything I felt very safe and the hotel was very well kept and nice !
