The room was great. Clean, clearly a new remodeled room, but well done. The hotel was very nice, the staff was very polite and helpful.
While there were some issues with things outside of the hotel which were completely out of the control of the hotel itself, the hotel was a very, very nice place to be.
When I booked this hotel I was very excited. The reality left me disenchanted. I realize they were under construction but there were no compensatory plans in place to alert us that the facility had a different name. The parking in the back didn’t allow us to enter the building with our luggage although a large main entrance existed there. No signs made us aware of an elevator at the far end that would have saved us from carrying the luggage down a series of steps. We heard the same concerns from 2 other parties staying there. The Harbor view was a harbor glimpse. There was a significant homeless issue out the front door. All things can be explained away I’m sure but then don’t market it as a high end when the package doesn’t present as such.
The property is rebranding and has been completely renovated inside, it’s amazing. My room is brand new and well appointed. Don’t judge it from how it looks outside.

A new hotel and they are still doing some renovations. It has teething problems. Rooms was big and comfortable.
Beautiful modern hotel. The lobby has a coffee/gift shop. Coffee was reasonably priced and delicious! Bed and pillows were comfortable. They even had bath robes! They offer luggage storage if you check out but have a later flight! This was super helpful!
The hotel was lovely! You can really appreciate all the hard work put into the renovations being made. Staff was amazing and always greatly appreciated! We truly loved our stay. Only concern was we requested a harbor view room and did not receive one and the road noise was rough making it difficult to sleep.
Overall everything else was over the top!! Thank you for a lovely stay!!
They were half the cost of the Hilton down the street for a much higher quality stay.

They are currently renovating the hotel in preparation for it to become a Hyatt property. When we stayed it was a mess, and the floor plan of the hotel is two very long hallways. With elevators unavailable for guests, we found ourselves walking ridiculously long hallways to find our small room. Breakfast was available a la carte only, and parking in their construction zone backyard was $15. Overall it was a low point of our otherwise amazing trip to Alaska. Hoping it gets better for those going later.

This place was in the middle of renovations but I can see it quickly becoming more expensive. We were luck to score a room since they have air conditioning and a nice atmosphere and massive gym.
The thermostat was set up improperly. I could not set the heat below 68 F. Consequently at night I could not lower the heat to 65 and I wok up sweating. When I informed the lady at the front fest she asked, “Did you try to adjust the heating unit itself?” I had to inform her it was not my job to crawl around trying to get the heat adjusted. She then suggested they would have someone come and look at it. I suggested after dinner. After dinner a fellow showed up and turned the heat up. I had to explain again that that was not the problem. He did not seem to understand. I asked if he spoke English and he said, “a little” I explained again and after some attempts he gave up (as I had much earlier. A few minutes a security man came by, I explained again, he did all the tests and agreed the thermostat had not been programmed correctly. The desk lady said we could make a room change as all the thermostats were not the same. The security man told me that was not correct; they are all the same and would all have to be reprogrammed. Then he was the first employee the say he was sorry. The desk lady should told not to make up doo to make the customer feel better. The desk lady should be told that it is the hotels responsibility to fix problems and not suggest the customer try. When we went to dinner the waitress that greeted us immediately if we wanted to see a menu. A little confusing because usually I’m asked if I would like to be seated. If I want to see a menu I take — I’m out of
A side of the cars racing up and down the street all through the night, the hotel is actually in of itself a very nice place just expect not to get much sleep because of the noise from vehicles racing
Hotel is still work in progress regarding the renovation but we found it to be quiet, and very nicely decorated / appointed. We stayed on the 1st floor (basement?) level which had its own lounge area and the gym. The space was lovely, big and felt like our own private space as it was so new that there wasn’t anyone using it. They were still putting together some of the gym equipment when we arrived but that wasn’t an issue for us. We did find that not all of the doors to the back parking area had working hotel key readers so we had to be thoughtful when exiting so as not to get locked out and then having to walk a bit to an open door. Not a big deal, just part and parcel with the renovation work that is in flight.
