The room was small but adequate. I should have booked a room with a private bathroom. We avoided using the shared bathroom as the couple of times we had to use it, one of the other guests had left pee on the floor. This was not at the fault of the owner of the property, just something for me to remember when booking in the future.

This is a nice little place but a tight space for a family, which is why I gave it 4 stars. The beds and bathroom were in good shape and the location is great.

If you wanted a room where anyone in the multi unit house - or neighborhood - could sneak up the back outside stairs and easily enter by hopping through the window at waist level into your bedroom on the second floor, this is the place for you. I called the manager who was aware of the issue. Nothing could be done about it. It was sold out tonight and no one ever complained before. Maybe because Alaska is usually cold???  This is a rare warm spell. Lucky me.  Women traveling solo have safety concerns. This is a solo room. I am a travel agent and was a commercial hospitality liability underwriter in another life. This should have been disclosed. I again viewed the photo of the room - there is nothing to indicate that there is a walkway and stairway outside the window. I can send pictures of the bedroom from the outside looking in from the stairway.  It should not be offered as a bedroom. Make it into anything other than a sleeping unit if the safety element cannot be fixed.  This is a huge fail This is NOT acceptable.

Great place to stay in Girdwood for the night. I wasn't looking for anything fancy, just a bed and shower. I booked a room with a shared bathroom and it worked out well. The property is very well maintained and in a convenient location to everything in Girdwood. The check in is all automated as they send you details via email. There is no staff there. The lobby/breakfast room was well supplied and had everything I needed to start my day. I highly recommend this place!!

Perfect for a nights stay.

Room was small but bed and pillows were comfy. We had a private bathroom with shower that was big and had all amenities. We were on the 2st floor close to the common area but didn’t hear any noise. The common area is very comfy and offers continental food choices.

Mixed bag of good and bad. The good: Girdwood is a cool little town. Location is great. Cafe, a couple restaurants, small grocery all walkable. Property is clean and tidy. Multiple breakfast options. The bad: So many beeps. Yes, beeps. The keypad lock on the front door doesn’t close properly so It’s always making noise and the guests trying to get in struggle with it and inadvertently ring the doorbell constantly. There’s an ignored dryer or washer that beeps incessantly as well. There is no staff on site, so there’s nobody to welcome you or field concerns. Rooms are pretty small. A couple of rooms do share a bathroom. Not a terrible stay by any stretch, but a few annoying things that add up a bit.

Very comfortable… the only thing I noticed both times I’ve stayed there, is that there’s very little hot water or none… I think they need bigger water heater to accommodate everyone…otherwise, very nice and comfy 😊

An attractive place to stay. We had an unexpected continental breakfast with good choices. A lovely housekeeper made us welcome and lent us her hose to enable us to wash our dusty car. A comfortable room. Three dining options and a mercantile store on the doorstep. Perfect location.
