Really enjoyed our short 1 night stay. I’m sure in the summers it’s even more incredible as the planes land on the lake. Great breakfast!

Luxuri-ish rather than luxurious. The FORMER main hotel for Iditarod race, now pretty beaten up. Borderline shabby in some places. I heard they board indigents in winter, which may contribute to conditions. Indigent hotels next door and in area. Anchorage has many bums everywhere, somewhat more concentrated near this hotel. I would stay here again but would rather not.

Sending multiple emails and texts all day long, asking to check in and wanted to scan my ID on arrival day was not good . Asking via email 8am what time I will be leaving on my departure day is really bad and unprofessional.I had very unwelcoming feeling from it . Room was nice and clean and employees very nice and helpful.

I live 4 hrs from anchorage and the lakefront is where I always stay when I travel there, about 4 times per year. Always clean and comfortable. Never any issues with staff who are always friendly.

hallways were smelly and room was noisy, we were awakened at 12:30 am by foul language and someone threatening to break down the door. It was coming from the room next door or upstairs, we couldn't quite figure out. but the noise continued for about an hour. Would have been nice to have a small microwave in room, the fridge was helpful though.
