This hotel is VERY old and needs a visit from the Building inspector. My room was dirty (dust behind bed, on floor, bathroom floor not even swept before I checked in, dirt in drawers, lamps that only worked if plugged/unplugged. Bathroom fan wouldn't work, probably because there was a leak since you can follow the bump of painted over plaster directly to the fixture. The same piece f paper laid on the floor in the hallway right outside the elevator used by "housekeeping" guy the entire two nights I stayed. Close to shopping is only positive thing I can say. The Westmark decently nice hotel chain should force this place to remove the name.

The hotel has greatbdiningnandnshopping options righr across the street. The location is in a downtown area and there is still lots of traffic and people. I am sure that in the winter slow season the area vibe is very different. Overall, the hotel lobby is welcoming. The staff is very friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. All the things I needed for a great stay.

Choose another hotel in the area

This hotel is seriously bad. Dated, uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Parking is $40, I mean common. There are plenty of options in downtown Anchorage, that are much better (I am saying this based on my experience). Do yourself a favor and skip this property.

Nice spot in downtown Anchorage. Although downtown Anchorage (in my opinion) isn't the best spot for restaurants and fun activities, this property was conveniently located and walkable to the places that were available. Beds were comfy, room was clean, and I liked that we had a patio.
