The house we were supposed to stay in got cancelled after we landed in Guyana, and the owner let us stay here on short notice and basically saved our vacation! The house is in a convenient location between Cheddi Jagan and Georgetown. The beds are comfortable, AC gets really cold, ceiling fan in the sitting room and stand fan in the bedroom.

A good place with good people

I will not recommend staying at Grand Coastal. The Deluxe Queen Room was very small and dated. The carpet is very dark, we were unable to tell if it was clean. The bathroom is very dated, everything is old and yucky. The towels provided were so small, I could barely wrap it around my 5 feet 109 lbs body. The hotel is on a main busy highway, the noise level is very high. It was impossible to get any sleep at all. In a nutshell myself and my husband did not have a good experience and would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Stayed two weeks. Apartment was clean and quiet upon arrival. Amenities were present as stated. Safe/secure location. Host/owner was friendly. Unit is up spiral metal stairs as well as both bedrooms within unit are upstairs, while both bathrooms are downstairs. This is not a useful floor plan layout and should be explicitly communicated on the posting. I traveled with a person whom struggled with stairs and they were forced to sleep on the futon couch/bed downstairs. Stove gas tank ran out quickly and tank was replaced quickly. One of three A/C units did not work the entire stay. Once upstairs first bedroom is open and one must walk through to entire second room; another layout flaw. Overall, I possibly would not stay here again do to the layout of the unit provided.

Not a speck of dust anywhere on the property. The complimentary breakfast was on point and on time. There were always cabs available in front of the hotel. My second stay. I will not stay anywhere else in Georgetown

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised very pleased with our stay at this hotel. This hotel ranks with any 4 star hotel chains in America. We loved EVERYTHING about the property, the EXCELLENT staff at the Front Desk, the bellhops, and the doormen. The breakfast was great...Try the omelet with spinach, cheese and tomatoes...SUPERB!! One recommendation for breakfast is to have jelly provided with toasts. We highly recommend staying here. One funny anectode: My wife was so impressed with the ladies guest bathroom that she had to go take pictures as we were leaving for the airport. Should we revisit Guyana we know where we would be staying.
